Small store so he won't always have the fish you are looking for but will almost always have the best prices in town on fresh water fish. Look past the older equipment and "dirty" looking tanks and you see generally very healthy fish and knowledgeable staff who are happy to answer questions or just talk fish with you.Attached is a picture of one of my Blue Acara that I bought at Fish World.

Horrible service.they do not care and sell diseased fishes! I returned these fishes and had to leave the store as the owner was not there so staff was unable to issue refund. I came back the next day and the fishes were back in the tank! I had to call and speak directly to owner who played twenty questions with me regarding my tank condition and what methods I used to cycle my tank even though I had not dare to place these in my tank. He told me the fishes must have just eaten because the ones I returned were back to normal . dropsy doesn't just go away (see pictures attached. The owner finally said I could have a store credit to purchase anything else in store. When I came back staff member told me I could only get live fishes. The same net is used for multiple tanks so I had no choice but to take my loss. I also noticed the tanks that houses other fishes were too small for their species/size such as angel fishes . do not take your chances. Go to the fish store on 48th street or aqua huna. They have fishes in excellent condition and great service

If you're looking for an experienced, honest professional who can offer matter of fact guidance and advice, look no further. I enjoy every trip to the store. The quality of equipment, fish, and plants offered is consistently top notch.

The store looks a bit sketchy but their freshwater selection is huge, their saltwater is not as large but contains very unique fish, my only real complaint is the sad betta collection. They also have some glow fish as a bonus.

This guy is very helpful. A pleasure to do business with. Do research and know about what things should cost and you will be set to enjoy and benefit from his knowledgeable help.

Great fish selection and friendly staff. Some tanks aren't as well maintained as one would expect and some large fish are kept in inappropriately small tanks

My husband loves this place! During Covid-19 my husband started a fish tank and ordered most of the stuff online but when he finally needed fish he started going to fish world and got an excellent variety of fish and has since purchased different supplies! We go at least every couple of weeks now so he can check out what’s new and always leaves with a little something! The owner always has good advise!

John is the best! My boyfriend and I came in with tons of questions that PetSmart either gave us multiple answers to or gave us the wrong information. John was able to get us moving in the right direction and make the best decisions for our 29 gallon tank. Will be going here when we’re ready to add more fish/need more supplies. Thank you John for keeping our aquarium happy & healthy. He is the reason we will stay in the hobby.

Perfect little gem hidden away from busy crowds unlike Petco, nice and relaxing experience. But could definitely benefit from a larger selection and better customer service- but always support your locally owned businesses!

Been going to Fish World for over 20 years. Number one reason is excellent customer service, very knowledgeable about fish and fish keeping locally the fish are high quality and adapted to our water parameters in Lincoln. Bought a small little bristlenose pleco from here back in 2006 or 2007... still kicking in 2020. I've got platies, pristella tetras, zebra danios... all usually live up to or past average lifetime span. I live 5 minutes from the big box pet stores, but when I actually buy fish that I want for my aquariums, I go to Fish World

This store is small. Personal service. Very experienced and knowledgeable. Will spend the time to share his knowledge and experience. Can order anything you want, but probably has anything you need in stock.
