We had a pork processed through this locker, it was excellent. We got pork tenderloin cutlets, which were wonderful. The smokehouse meats are definitely worth it. We would highly recommend this business.

Had a friend pay for some work with some meat products... I LOVED the summer sausage and deer brats. Noticed the name in the packaging. Love the small town products.

I would not take a deer or do business with this locker. They really messed up my order and blamed me. My call to the locker was simply to inquire about the process and make them aware of the issues I had experienced. The lady that took my call was extremely rude and could care less about what I had to say. She blamed me for signing the order card if it wasn’t correct. I explained to her I filled out my name, address and contact information and signed the card and gave it to the person helping me to fill out the order at his suggestion since they were busy. When I received my order there were no steaks, no cheese in the polish sausage and no beef added to the burger. Then they double charged me as they charged to skin the deer at $90 and then another $45 to grind burger and bag it! I’ve never heard of this before as I take several deer in each year to different lockers and have never been double charged for grinding and bagging the burger as it’s always included in the initial process fee of $90. As I explained this to the lady it was obvious she could care less and mentioned that she hoped that I learned my lesson as I should not have signed the card if the order was wrong and wished me well on the next locker I use. She also told me in a snotty way that won’t change their prices because one guy doesn’t want to pay them. Their staff appeared to be hung over the morning I dropped my deer off so I wonder if this played into the errors? I did not care for the polish sausage that I did receive so adding cheese like I originally requested and did not get probably would not have mattered. I think the quality of the finished product was poor as it did not taste well. It’s very clear to me this locker really doesn’t want to process deer but do it anyway and have a huge chip on their shoulders for deer hunters and out of area customers. I will not be back nor will the other hunters in the group that had taken their deer there.

We have a very good friend who won't buy meat any other place but Pelicans! He actually buys as much as he can fit into a carry-on and brings it to Maui every winter.

Won't be bring any more of my beef here to be processed. The steaks, roasts and stew meat were not packaged well at all. Looks like a lot of it will be freezer burned before I can get to it. I liked the way the ground was packaged, but unfortunately I bite down on a bone chip almost everytime I eat it, not very appetizing. Really disappointing.

"Meh, I've experienced better isn't the correct rating category". Highly disappointed and shocked is.......... We've had meat processed annually at Pelican's for years with great service. This past year we had an order we picked up and thought it was small but didn't question it. Nine months later we received a call saying that the beef was under a different name and hadn't been picked up. It was the other quarter to our beef and we were never notified. When we picked it up, they charged us another $200+ for processing fee which had been paid in full 9 months prior AND a stocking fee for storing our beef. Unreal! We picked up old meat. We did get a refund a week later for the processing fee that had been paid twice but it was a hassle.
