This is a long overdue review for the best Veterinary Clinic in town. I believe I've been with them for almost 30 years and through several pets...each have been cherished by Drs. Bob & Kay Bruno. The reason for the late review is just another stand out with their clinic. Recently our terrier Fritz had pain radiating from his mouth and in the very busy holiday season, they got us in right away. When Dr. Bob realized Fritz wasn't going to get an exam easily (he didn't want to open his mouth without biting your hand off), he knew we had to probably sedate Fritz. Since his dental cleaning was on the horizon, Dr. Bob moved it up. In the meantime he could give thorough exam. The amazing part was that the only time he had to do this was his lunch hour, two days out. That's why we keep coming back. Thanks to you, Dr. Bob and all your staff. Fritz had a very happy New Year and is now well on the road to recovery.

We've had all our pugs in to see the doctors at MVH and they are wonderfully warm, caring and from our healthy 8 year old to the wobbly old 14 year old.....they always do right by us. A little more than 5 years ago when our old lady pug was in her final stages of life....any time she had something going on that was really rough on her, they would tell us "just bring her in" and they would get us in ASAP. We always felt special and very well taken care of. Thanks guys....can't tell you how much we appreciate you!!

I really wanted to be able to leave a five star review for this vet. We brought our two cats in as new patients and had zero issues -it was a great visit. When we adopted our puppy, we got her established as well and that's where we really got to know the business operations for Moreland Vet. My overall takeaway is that this hospital has some organizational issues and perhaps that could be from an influx of pet adoptions during the pandemic, but we will never know since we have switched vets. Here are some notes from my family's experience, specifically surrounding our dog: - They were conscious of the sensitivities to certain medications advised by our kennel for this specific breed; however their notes are simple scribbles in the margins of the chart (unsure if that's standard practice) - Our pup is an American Indian Dog that has recently been officially recognized as a breed but in Moreland's system they labeled her as a mixed breed without looking into her breed further. - During her visits she did not receive dewormer, nor were we advised about dewormer. We had to request it when she threw up and had notable, live worms in her vomit. - The office has long wait times and often the staff seemed overwhelmed and confused. - They insisted they we needed a 4th DHHP shot, but when we questioned it, they said she didn't need it after all. Really confusing communication surrounding vaccines. - When it came time to get our dog spayed, we tried to book her appointment in February for surgery to hopefully happen no later than April, they did not have availability until June. They didn't try to make any effort to get us taken care of in time. -We ultimately became established with a new vet that was able to schedule our spay within our time frame. When records were released to the new vet, we discovered that our dog never received her second lepto shot and Moreland Vet claimed that we declined the second in the series (even though we scheduled out all of her other shots and have never declined any recommended vaccine). Now we need to restart her series. We worked with our new vet to really comb through and piece together our dog's records to make sure she was well taken of and there was a clear understanding of where she stood with her vaccines. - During one office visit, our dog was administered her DHHP shot in the hallway without my presence. This may have been where we allegedly "declined" her lepto shot. We have transferred care for our dog and eventually will do the same with our cats, unfortunately.

after 10+ years of patronizing this business, we found that the veterinarians couldn't be bothered to see our dog with an injured paw pad over a two day period. the nail technician thinks it/they is a vet and left us waiting twice to the point that we just walked out. sellwood-moreland folks are snob shots.

I am grateful they were able to make a same day appointment, but after going in I can maybe see why they had availability and the other neighboring clinics are booked. There was no bedside manner (maybe being near sellwood they're not used to people asking for prices BEFORE committing to different procedures/routes) & they were rather rude about me repeatedly asking for an overview of what they were telling me about or the individual pricing. How am I supposed to know which option is better if I'm having to pick on the fly without any supporting information?! Everything was a rush, you have decide between these two things now, no wonder my cat was upset. Again, grateful for the same day appointment. Maybe it's more of a dog-focused clinic than cat. This will be our last resort for emergencies.

Everyone was so nice here. They were able to squeeze me into a busy day to help my cat very last minute. Thank you for being so kind and helpful!

The doctors and staff at Moreland are the best ever and treat your beloved pet as if they were their very own. We've been taking our pet here for many years and always feel like we are treated as family. No egos get in the way if there is a puzzling situation and they always listen to your concerns and don't just ignore. . . Love them!

Coming from family where father and grandfather were veterinarians, and having a dog visiting there, have to say that Moreland Veterinary Hospital is excellent, friendly, responsive and responsible. All you can hope!

My grandchildren's pet is very ill and an appointment was made to have it put down. The clinic just called to confirm the appointment and said, "glad to hear she's still alive and kicking". Their mother didn't really know how to respond.
