We’ve stayed here many times and this time for a week. Our room smelled musty the day we arrived and everything was damp seemingly from humidity. I think they should have turned the air conditioner on in the room sooner. Our first morning the breakfast area was packed and people were waiting in line out to the lobby for food since it was out. There didn’t seem to be anyone around to ask for refills. I wouldn’t have an issue waiting my turn but they clearly couldn’t keep up so we went to Perkins down the road and were served right away. When we returned it looked like they were still having issues keeping up. Knowing how many guests they had the night before they should have planned better, I don’t like that there isn’t a fitness room. I like that they have a heated pool but it appears as if the tiles on the side have algae or mold. We still get in and just hope we don’t get sick! One night there were big clumps of hair all over in the pool and looked like the came from the same person. We were talking to others in the pool and joking about how it looked like someone gave themselves a haircut in the pool. The beds make a clacking noise. The tub has a crack. You have to hold the handle on the toilet for a while to flush. The rooms seemed clean overall. There was good water pressure in the shower. The staff always seem nice. The hotel needs some updating, the pool needs a good cleaning and more attention, and they need to plan ahead to make the rooms more comfortable (heat, humidity, etc.), and if they are busy enough staff to keep up with breakfast.

Ugh. Do they have maintenance?
Rooms: A check out time sign may assist future patrons.. The phone worked when press 0 for help. BUT, The Toilets didn't function properly from the first flush which were liquids, so i was scared when the other occurred. So, then it Overflowed. ( Insert water sound of overflowing toilet ) Asked to get a mop. But, then I remembered - that it wasn't my malfunctioning toilet. So, really not my job. The bathroom floor remains with water on it . So, what ever... Also, the air conditioner didnt work well... fan speed didnt change, nor seem to cool. They slide you a printout of the bill under thr door about 5:30 am. Next time I think we'll pass.....

Advertises a pool, and doesn't inform guest it's closed until you get there, so my kid has nothing to do all week while I take classes at the college.
Fixed the problem, but should of communicated their policy better at check in.

Upon checking in, there was a language barrier so, it was a little frustrating checking in. Once I arrived in my room I thought "Oh no good carpet! "It should be cleaner since they can mop the floors. I was terribly wrong! And like an idiot, I walked around barefoot on the hotel floor. Not even 15 minutes later. The bottoms of my feet were completely black. If they can't simply mop the floor, it makes me wonder what else they are not cleaning properly.

We arrived at 11pm and left by 7am the next morning and our gas was siphoned from my car during the night. We couldn’t believe it. We were parked right by the front entrance in a lit area. The room was fine, the breakfast was a 4/10. Would not recommend.
Safety: Not a safe place. Parking lot was full of construction trucks and as a group of young women, we did not feel very safe. Then our gas was siphoned and sealed the deal that we should not have stayed there.

Worst hotel I’ve tried to stay at. Horrible customer service. Expensive for tacky roach hotel. Everyone was sitting around and head guy was there in basketball shorts. Had an odor of BO. Carpets were dirty and overall not nice. Check in Guy was rude and unaccommodating. I sure hope I get my refund on my room I didn’t even stay in! Hastings has nicer places to stay. I hope they close their doors. Don’t stay here!Noteworthy details: Terrible customer service. Tacky and ugly decor. Smelly and dirty.

Rather frustrating experience. I booked a hotel to just get some good rest inbetween business.I checked in late at night, 1AM or so. I did not expect any issues because "Checkin is anytime after 3PM". So here I am in the lobby, there is nobody at the front desk. Okay, not surprising, it is late. There is a phone that says "dial for service". So I call the phone and a woman answers, so I tell her I am at the front desk waiting to check in. She says "okay".So I ended up waiting for 10 minutes. I figured maybe she was helping someone, or cleaning a room, or doing something solo, so I did not think much of it. Eventually, I call again, and she just pops out of the back room. She really kept me waiting at the desk for no reason, which was pretty frustrating.Worst so, I'm not sure she knows English very well. She was really hard to understand and told me she could not even find my reservation. Eventually, I think she just gave up and put me in a random room, which was nice at least.Important detail, the checkout time is 11AM. So, considering I booked a hotel to get a good nights sleep, imagine how annoyed you would be when somebody bangs on your door at 8:30AM asking you if you are checking out yet. Seriously? That is insanity. This happened again at 10AM, so I barely got the good night sleep I asked / paid for.Prices weren't bad, though. The rooms were also nice for said prices too.2/10 because of all that.

Whole experience was soured by check in, absolutely worst customer service I've had. We got there late at night, called to say we were at the front, waited about 10 minutes before we called again, they hung up, then somebody came out from behind the counter (on check out they came out from the same spot without us calling so we're pretty sure they just ignored us during check in) couldn't find our reservation, for a moment it seemed like we weren't getting a room, we had to go double check in the morning and the morning person easily found our reservation. Rooms seemed decent, really disgusted when we were leaving to see that the top side of the comforter was torn to shreds and they'd just covered it up with the sheet, so that bumped my room rating down. Breakfast was disappointing, and they don't clean the tables often because the room was empty when we came in, but all the tables were dirty.

The rooms here are shabby and not as clean as I would like. This hotel could really use an update and thorough cleaning. The front desk staff, who I believe is the owner, is extremely rude and does not disclose fees upfront, basically gouging a person for every cent he can get. There are far better places to stay in Hastings than this. I know I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere!
