I deposited around $40,000 into my account with a stipulation that it would be put on hold until it clears….fine with me not a problem….gave me available funds of little over $5,000 ok good no problem…..2 days later they decide to hold the entire amount rather than just partial amounts leaving me with a negative balance of close to 2k ….theres nothing they can do and my checks that I get direct deposited go towards that balance that they decided to make available and then wasn’t ….so needless to say I have to eat both incomes this weeks towards the balance ….and wait 10 days …..its a crooked thing to do….its not a way to help your customers out especially with a large deposit….needless to say ill be going to a different bank …..shame

Avoid this bank at all costs. They will flat out steal from you and claim it's your problem. They took money out of my account for a purchase I made in June, their system made an error and they basically shrugged at me.

Bank of the West in Fremont was always a good bank except for one employee. I have never received the correct answer to my questions. I know if he on the phone because he answers the phone “ this is Roc “ and I always have to ask if this is. BOTW. When my son opened his checking account all Roc could talk about were the past jobs he has had in banking and his 11 checking accounts. We are going to move our accounts because I just can’t deal with him

About my 3rd time the ATM doesn’t work, drive thru is super slow, only one lane today, hours are minimal, no weekend hours at all. Time to switch banks!

This is my bank. I am posting this for clarification, because people have not been fair in these reviews. My monthly fee is three dollars. There is a fee for going negative for a specific period of time, that is about thirty dollars. I have had issues before with this bank, but i have never felt that the staff disregarded them. This bank is as capable and cordial as any of its competitors. Thank you.

The lady working there just flat out lies about their fees. She told me I would have no service fee and after $300 a year for one account I decided to go else where. The guy in the drive through is clueless. He asked me what a remote deposit was when I called in complaining about all of he fees. I’ve tried 3 times closing my accounts and they always have an issue and say they can’t. So last time I just took my money out then they charge the monthly service of 25 then charge overdraft charges. This place is dishonest and not a good place to do business. I wish I would have looked at all the poor reviews before opening an account here.

Just terrible. Only bank that I’ve dealt with and have had way too many problems to post on a review. Highly recommend you going somewhere else with your banking needs

I have banked here for a while and never had any issues with them..there staff are nice and helpful. Not like us bank or wells Fargo. Those banks need to take a courtesy class..
