I understand no one wants to work the holidays, but I stopped at this location to get a couple of last minute, forgotten ingredients for Thanksgiving and upon checkout, walked past the self-checkout, in order to speak to the long time manager, Ilene, to be friendly and just say, "Hi".I spoke a friendly, "How are you?"Which was ignored. She, checked the items out and I said, "Hope you have a great day."She never looked at me, just towards the cieling and grunted (yes, GRUNTED) out, "Yeah."Totally rude and unprofessional. If you hate the place that bad? Just quit.No one needs that kind of negativity, especially on a holiday. We ALL have bad days, but when dealing with the public AND being a manager?Well...,Managers lead by example, if this experience is how she treats or trains her employees, this location is in for a hard time keeping people that want to work and do a good job and to keep loyal customers that do business there and help keep them ALL in employment. No one will keep visiting a place where they aren't made to feel like their patronage is appreciated, no matter HOW small the town is.I've had to work all holidays and birthdays, etc, at prior jobs I've held, and have always maintained a certain degree of professionalism, understanding it's not EVERYONE else's fault that my day wasn't going the way I wanted it to.I appreciate that DG was open on Thanksgiving, when nothing else was, but that doesn't justify passing on your attitude and displeasures to undeserving customers
