Older suburban had problem with the torque converter lockup. They repaired the transmission and it is as new again. Cost was reasonable and unlike others they did not try to sell me a new transmission for 1000’s of dollars.
Happy Camper!

We were referred to Auto Trans Matic by a coworker. We were given an initial time line of 2 weeks for a new installed transmission. Unfortunately, it was in January and there were some delays in shipping. We got our car back 5 weeks later, which was very frustrating to begin with. After driving the vehicle for about 2 months it started jerking forward when the auto start/stop would kick in after being stopped at a stop light. I called the office and let them know what was going on and they said to bring it in. We dropped it off and got a call a few days later saying they couldn’t get the car to do what I was saying it was doing and that it wasn’t related to the transmission. We picked it back up and continued to have the same issue.
A month or two later the car started to make a loud noise when idling. We were disappointed with the work done here so we took the car to another mechanic. They told us it was related to the transmission and recommended we take it back to ATM since it was under warranty. We took it back to ATM and they did fixed the issue. Coincidentally, the issue with the jerkiness after restarting, stopped after this fix.
When we got the car back the 3rd time the AC did not work. I did some research (I am very naive to cars) and sources said that sometimes the AC needs to be disconnected to access the transmission so an AC recharge is usually necessary. We paid $30 for a recharge and now the AC works. I assume they forgot to recharge the AC once they put the car back together.
We also noticed a crack in the windshield after the car was returned to us. There was a decent sized chunk of glass missing at the bottom of the windshield. I can’t say this happened at ATM but it doesn’t appear to be from a rock/debris from driving.
I tried calling the office to discuss my concerns and frustrations, but no one will answer the phone. I called today at 10:45am. No answer. The answering machine has an old message about March 22nd office hours. I didn’t leave a message, but may try to call again.
Hoping this review gives ATM an idea of my frustrations and maybe they will consider making some changes.

I had issues with the 4WD working in my Lincoln Navigator. Auto Trans Matic got it fixed. Costs were reasonable, and they guaranteed their work. I am very pleased and have recommended them several times to friends.

Took my Audi in for oil change and alignment. I expected to hear that I needed thousands of $ of front end work but was told all was well and failure to rotate my tires was the problem. I appreciate their honesty.

Cannot recommend I took a Ford Edge there for a second opinion on a transmission issue. Was showing codes P0720 and P2270. Called and dropped off on a Friday. Didn't hear anything Monday or Tuesday so I called Wednesday for a status. Receptionist was nice and told me he was about to look at it and should hear something by EOD. Nothing. Thursday called again and was again told he was looking at it and would get back to me. 3pm Friday got a call from the mechanic and was told they could find anything wrong with the transmission. There was an O2 sensor and a random engine misfire(known from last mechanic) Was basically told "I don't know what to tell you". I had done my own research and found that this model has a known issue with the OSS and TSS sensor. He said without the code showing him he wasn't confident. I said I had pictures of the codes and a video of the incident to support my point. After a few attempts I finally got him to agree to replace the sensors. Then find out there was damage to the transmission cover (not previously advised) and that only the OSS could be replaced. I was ticked obviously. Went to pick it up and again argued with the same mechanic about giving me a detailed report on what they did and didn't do. Also why they should maybe give customers a call if their vehicle is going to sit for a week. Go to Jensen Diagnostic (not Jensen Tire) they give you a very detailed and honest report on your vehicle. 2 stars only because they didn't mark up the OSS cost too much.

Non-existent communication. Rare that someone picks up the phone here. Had a vehicle get a remanufactured transmission installed in the spring. They were a month behind their estimated timeframe. They never called me during this time to update. I had to call weekly to ask for status updates (which was difficult because there never seemed to be anyone answering phones). After the car was at the shop 6+ weeks, finally got the car back.\nDrove 2-3 months and only about 5000 miles when the transmission they put in malfunctioned. Dropped car off and called to explain that it needed warranty service. It's now been 2 weeks and no communication from them. Still haven't been able to get someone to answer the phone today. This used to be a great company when they were started in the late 90's early 2000's. What happened?

Well, I don’t look like the other customers that speaks soo highly of this business. This is the only difference I can find. I mean, I have a need for a transmission and money to pay for it. How else can the ABSOLUTE POOREST customer service be explained. We had our vehicle towed to their location using their referred service. Our vehicle set there for over two weeks with no updates, no answers to our calls and no return call from our voicemail. So we just showed up after work only to be dismissed and lied too. Told, basically, we can have a QUOTE to us by tomorrow. That they have been sooo busy (too busy for a quote…). Then told well they are not sure how long it will take, after they already had or vehicle for over TWO WEEKS. Given lies, and a song and dance about busy and how are hard to find the part would be. I then had enough of this horrible service full of lies, went to our car and called Certified Transmission. Which by the way, know how to treat any and EVERYONE that seeks service. He explained they had 4 in stock right now. Mind you, I am sure Auto Trans Matic use them to get transmissions from. Our vehicle sat for over TWO WEEKS with no attempts to help us and ignored request for updates. Again, I guess we had to look a certain way for the reported awesome service other who do not look like us got! Thee worst customer service I have ever experienced!! Shame on them!!!!

Hands down absolutely the only place I would ever take my car for any transmission work whatsoever. If my car was in China and I had to get it back for some transmission work I would inflate a raft load my car onto it and swim it over here dragging the rope in my teeth just to have it service at Auto transmatic.
