I love this place , my cat broke her leg and after getting 3 different opinions (which all told me to put my cat down) Bellevue animal hospital was the only place that did not suggest that and also fixed her leg. They are very personal , they communicate with you not only verbally but with a tv that shows you everything when you're in the operating room. They do payment plans which is very convenient when you don't have access to use care credit or you just don't have to the means to cover the appts. I think honestly they're reasonable in pricing and they can do more than most other vets around. So rather then waiting 2 weeks or more for test results at other vets - they do most of their testing at the location so you end up getting results way faster. I love them and without them I would not still have my baby

I was a fan of Dr. Rock-Paul until two weeks ago. I brought my parakeet in with a perlapsed cloaca. She did an emergency procedure on my bird, and gave me false hope that everything would be okay. I got home, and my bird progressively got worse as the day went on. I brought my parakeet back to the hospital where Dr. Rock-Paul took an x-ray, gave me amoxicillin, and sent me back home. After charging me almost $350, my bird died 4 1/2 hours after I left the 2nd time. I didn't even get a follow-up call to see how things were going. I won't be returning.

I have been going to this vet ever since I moved here 6 years ago and they are the only vet I will go to. When my fuzzy butts are sick, 9 times out of 10 I can get a same day appointment and if I can't get a same day appointment, it's usually the next day. When I had an emergency last year, I brought my baby in and they rushed us to a room. Unfortunately my baby passed in my arms on the way to the vet but their quickness to get her into a room and look at her was lightning fast. They care so much about each and every animal they see and it shows. I have never had an issue with them and I always leave feeling 100% satisfied with the care my babies were given. In my eyes they are the best vet out there

My daughter's 18 year old cat suddenly became very ill to the point that we thought she was going to have to be put down. We chose Bellevue Animal Hospital solely due to the fact they were still open. We called and told them we were coming. We have never been to this clinic. These people stayed late waiting for us. They were as kind and sympathetic as possible. It is Dec 23rd, they have no appointments booked and they all stayed to help this sweet cat. They easily could have said they were closing and we had to go somewhere else. To top off their compassion, they were able to help our animal to go back home for Christmas and possibly a few more weeks. This was a huge gift to the 7 and 9 year olds who love her deeply. I hope the employees realize the Christmas gift they gave to my daughter and her family this year. Thank you is not enough!

**LIFE-SAVING MIRACLE** This is our family dog named Buster we have had the past 4 years. He has provided nothing but love, energy, and hope for our beloved family. We recently moved to a new house and found out there was a gap in the fence, in which he escaped on 10/8/19. We searched for countless hours in desperation and heartbreak. We posted all over the "Lost Pets of Bellevue" Facebook page, made trips to the Nebraska Humane Society, received calls from the local police department of his last known location of travel, stayed glued to our phones waiting for a phone call. On 10/9/19 we received a phone call from a young man who spotted Buster huddled in the corner by his house before mowing. We immediately rushed over to find him laying in the corner, his eye bulging out, scared, and barely stable. A painful image that we can never erase from memory. It was very clear that some sort of animal (most likely a larger dog) attacked him. Buster was fortunately able to hold out through the night as the temps fell cold. When we picked up his helpless body, I immediately suggested Bellevue Animal Hospital as it was the closest and we had previously taken our animals there. Also, we knew that Dr. Maltry was there and was an eye specialist. As we walked through the door, nearly everyone in the room dropped what they were doing and escorted us into a room. Within less than 3-5 minutes, we had at least 5-6 people in the room assisting. We soon came to a realization that Buster would need to undergo an emergency eye removal surgery and later on, a jaw surgery as it was fractured badly in many places. Dr. Maltry instantly realized of how serious these issues were and needed to act fast. She decided to clear the entire rest of her day to devote to us which resulted in her staying at the office past 8pm to watch over Buster! Since the surgeries, Buster has transformed into his normal, playful, happy self with the never ending love and support transferred from the skilled team over at Bellevue Animal Hospital and Dr. Maltry. We will always be eternally grateful for your actions that saved Buster's life, and our family! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

We've been bringing our pets here since 1993. A lot of personnel changes and ownership have happened in that time, but quality of care has remained top notch. The vets here have always been professional but also empathetic, helping deal with the emotional pain of watching pets suffer and helping make decisions on what is the best course of action. For ordinary care like vaccinations, spaying, and senior exams, the vets here know their business. As I write this, they have added an urgent care component for times when the office is closed. The vet tech staff is also excellent, helping calm pets and doing much of the heavy lifting. I have my favorites, having been bringing pets here for almost 30 years, but trust me, you and your pets will be happy with the care you receive from anyone on the staff.

Kalhlua's ears are feeling great now and her teeth are looking cleaner! I also appreciated the follow up call from the doctor checking on her! It let me know the team really cares.

Our sweet little girl Freckles is almost 9 years old and she was never spayed. She went through heat recently and that was when the trouble began. We got concerned and took her to a vet (not this one) and I asked if they could check about an infection called pyometra that I knew older non-spayed dogs could get. I was reassured that she did not have any signs of infection so I trusted the diagnosis because I was not a vet but I was still concerned deep down. Fast forward 2 mor...

They literally were killing my dog before my eyes!!!! A year ago, I brought my dogs to this vet office because we were new in town and the reviews were mostly good. However, when one of our dogs passed away I brought my other dog to get him checked just to make sure he was okay because I was grieving and wanted to reassure myself that this dog was still in good health. It started off slow with a diagnosis of glaucoma, but then they began to treat him for all kind of other things. Soon they were having him on constant antibiotics and steroids. When he started to lose his fur and weight rapidly, we finally got bloodwork done. They then told me that his liver was "slightly" off and maybe his thyroid was barely off. I decided that I would get a second opinion. With the same bloodwork results, the other vet actually showed me the results, instead of just paraphrasing from a computer, and the actual numbers were so bad. His liver was 2 times what it should be and his thyroid was bottomed out. All because Bellevue Animal Hospital overdosed him continually for over 6 months. Do not go here if you want healthy pets!

Dr. Truax is amazing. He took the time to let our cats smell him and talked nicely to them to make them a little more comfortable. My husband is military and we have to go to new vets quite often and this vet has been the best in our experience so far. They have gotten me an appointment quickly each time and I didnt have to wait long for a vet to come into the exam room. The price is reasonable and the cost of the medications have been reasonable as well. They have not suggested a bunch of unneeded tests like some other vets I've been to in the past. Dr. Truax seems to genuinely care about animals. He and the vet technicians have always taken the time to answer my questions as well.
