This place is beautiful! A quint and upscale boutique-esque space in sweet Ashland, Nebraska. Their products are an investment but high quality and GREAT for gifts! The actual store is so pretty, too, it makes you feel inspired to decorate and make your space more airy.

Great soaps, dish soaps, ect. Everything you need to be clean. Only problem is if you’re looking for cheap products you may want to go somewhere else. The prices aren’t too bad for how long they last.

Beautiful store and building. Discovered this shop as we were stopping in town for one night. Great place to score some quality gifts. I recommend the woven pot holders and dish mats.

Beautiful store with a wide variety of useful items for your home. Very organic in feel the store has many items that are on trend so it’s a great place to find gifts especially for showers or weddings. Be prepared for a bit of sticker shock, though, things are not cheap here. Spending $22 for one knitted hot pad seems a bit pricey.

By far, one of my favorite stores near the Omaha area! The exterior is a beautiful historical building and the interior is so warm, cozy and beautiful! They offer so much from dried flowers, homemade candles, kitchen supplies, decor, to shampoos and conditioners! In the back corner they also have a bookshelf with many different types of books and journals. Near there they also have a small area with unique children’s toys.I love the vibe and energy in here! I highly recommend checking them out if you haven’t yet!

A road trip to the town of Ashland, NE was just what I needed to escape a dreary day.The first shop I visited was Salt Creek Mercantile. This corner store with it's tall windows showcasing it's merchandise, caught my attention. After stepping inside, I was reminded of the mercantile shops that I had come across in my travels overseas. The high ceilings, wood floors and wonderful space was a welcome. As I wandered about I found baskets, brooms, brushes, dishes, candles, soaps as well as the unusual like, rug beaters and candle wick trimmers. Some of the products are locally sourced which is nice to know. With easy music overhead and the kindness of the shop owner and her assistant, the visit to Salt Creek Mercantile was well worth it.

Hi! Why don’t you or your employees greet people when they walk in at this store and your bakery? Very weird and unwelcoming.Reply: I can assure you I wasn’t. I’ve been to the shop twice and the bakery twice with my family, and haven’t been greeted on any of those occasions. In fact, the girl at the shop was on her phone the entire time and didn’t bother to look up. At the bakery, no greeting or smiles or offers of help. Just stares at the counter. It’s weird. Perhaps truly listen to feedback and make changes to your customer service instead of gaslighting me like I don’t know what my own experiences are at your businesses. Lost a customer. Have a great summer!

WOW!! This was a place at my back door and I was unaware. When I walked in, immediately I smelled this lovely fragrance...the Lolly candle. After smelling several candles I purchased the Clawfoot. The young man behind the counter was knowledgeable and pleasant. He even sold me a lip balm at the register, that I have enjoyed all afternoon. This place was soothing to my soul. Then he mentioned the owner has a bakery...that is my next review. This was an amazing staycation Saturday! I will be returning!

Edited to 3 star as missing products have been recieved. The products are beautiful but keeping a 3 star due to level of customer service. I did not receive any response to my correspondence regarding order error. I do look forward to going to the store in person at some point in the future.***previous 1 star rating*** Unfortunately my low rating is due to lack or response to an error on my order. The product is nice but I didn't receive everything I ordered and paid for. I sent both an email January 20th and a private IG message to attempt to resolve the issue with no response.

Love the store. It's beautiful and calming. They have pretty things and are nicely displayed. I hate the prices. Everything is about 1/3 too expensive, especially since it's not in the Bay Area, which is where I typically see prices like this. I wonder how much more they would sell if they lowered their price point.

This is a beautiful store and contrary to other older reviews I thought the owner was quite responsive and very friendly!! I had a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone. This is truly a gem in Ashland. I love their candles and have gotten some great finds.
