I cannot put into words how appreciative my family is of the Whitefish Animal Hospital. 5 years ago we travelled from Canada to have a bilateral TPLO done by Dr. Jim for our dog. Our experience was so incredible that we recently returned to have him perform extensive fracture repair on our cat. The knowledge, skill, and compassion that we’ve experienced is unmatched and for that, my family will be forever grateful!

Wonderful, caring vets and staff. We started coming here a few years ago when we lived in Whitefish. We have since moved and live about 35 minutes away (on a good day), but continue to come here regardless of the extra drive. They always fit us in when we have an emergency, and with 2 senior dogs there will be emergencies. Thank you for taking care of our beloved pets and earning our trust.

It's hard to just say "Thank you!" to those who care for our Fur-babies, just doesn't seem like enough...!! Betsy and Griff will always be remembered in our family. Thank You! to Dr. Laura Thiel, Steph, Jennifer, Diane, Marje and all the staff at Whitefish Animal Hospital. Our, and our pups (they will always be our puppies) lives are better because of your dedication, caring and honest services!!

Nothing short of outstanding! Our dog tore his CCL (dog equivalent of a human's ACL) and Dr. Thompson and his team performed the TPLO surgery on him. He's back to his old self and bouncing around like he's a 2 year old pup!My wife and I are extremely grateful for the expert care and compassion that was shown to our Loki. Thank you all so very much!

Short notice new patient appointment that needed to be done before we left town. Dr Leslie and her staff were very compassionate, took their time and made sure our old nervous dog was ok. Since we travel full time and have an older pup we have had to see our fair share of different vets. Dr Leslie had a lot of ortho knowledge and even offered to send the imaging to their radiologist for review. My wife is a nurse and has a hard time finding vets she truly likes but Dr Leslie has been her favorite!

We experienced top-level customer support at this local animal hospital. While on a road trip, our cat fell ill, and luckily, they accommodated us for a next-day appointment. Dr. Thompson was truly amazing, providing a clear and concise assessment of our cat’s condition and expertly answering all of our questions. The office itself was immaculately clean, and the added bonus of complimentary cookies and coffee made the experience even more pleasant. Moreover, the prices and fees were very reasonable. The exceptional service and care they provided are making us consider cutting our road trip short and seriously contemplate moving to Montana!

Whitefish Animal Hospital is absolutely fantastic. My guinea pig got bumblefoot and had an open sore on one of his paws, and his usual vet was not available. Not all vets will treat exotic animals, so I was really panicking, calling all around the valley, and this clinic fit me in the same day! They let me drop him off before work and called me with updates. They took such good care of him!!! They even pre-measured all his syringes of medication, which was a huge help to me. They called me the day after they saw my guinea pig to check on how he was doing and I appreciate that so much. Definitely professional and compassionate care. Would take my piggy to them again!

This clinic exposes the greedy side of veterinary medicine. I am left feeling taken advantage of and blindsided by the amount of upcharge this clinic has for their services. Don’t let their exorbitant prices fool you into thinking the quality of veterinary care will match the price you pay. I implore anyone that is a current client or plans on becoming one to PLEASE get estimates for services in writing prior to agreeing to anything. According to the code of ethics set forth by the American Veterinary Medical Association “The decision to accept or decline treatment and related cost should be based on adequate discussion of clinical findings, diagnostic techniques, treatment, likely outcome, estimated cost, and reasonable assurance of payment. Once the veterinarian and the client have agreed, and the veterinarian has begun patient care, they may not neglect their patient and must continue to provide professional services related to that injury or illness within the previously agreed limits. As subsequent needs and costs for patient care are identified, the veterinarian and client must confer and reach agreement on the continued care and responsibility for fees.” Seeing as my bill was double the price I was quoted over the phone I did not by any means reach an agreement as to what I was going to be charged for. Please do not fall victim to this clinic and their ploy to exploit your wallet. You don’t have to pay Whitefish prices to get a high standard of care, there are higher quality veterinary clinics in the valley that will uphold their integrity and provide you with services that match the price you pay.

They will spoil your pet with lots of of love and a treat. They listened to my concerns with my Gracie and took the time to answer my questions and made suggestions. Highly recommend them they exceeded my expectations. Your fur baby will thank you.?❤️?

I truly wish I could give WF Animal Hospital 0 stars. My cat had a hole in his neck. They treated him. It didn’t go away and within a week of taking him, I called and asked them to prescribe something different. They refused and forced me to bring him back for another full price exam. Then they gave him another round of the same antibiotic that didn’t work! Of course it doesn’t work the second time so I called again and said it’s not working. Our poor cat is over 18 years old and was still suffering. They refused again. So I took him to Central Valley Vet and amazingly they gave him a different antibiotic and it’s been gone for over a year now.We have since rescued a second cat that was supposed to be a vicious barn cat according to Flathead animal shelter. Well that didn’t work out because she was outside and got attacked by some sort of animal and has a broken leg. I reluctantly called WF animal hospital after a neighbor recommended them in case she needs an amputation. That was a huge mistake. The receptionist was extremely rude, gave advice and opinions like she was a vet herself, and insinuated the ER vet that looked at the cat recently gave us bad advice and said the initial treatment “didn’t make sense”The only available local emergency vet we saw told us the leg would possibly heal if we kept her isolated. Anyway the receptionist was so awful and rude I called Central Valley vet again and we will go there. I will never go to wf vet again. Very unprofessional & I can see by other reviews I’m not the only one who’s had a bad experience!

I literally can’t say enough good things about Whitefish Animal Hospital! The front desk staff, the vet techs, and the veterinarians are all wonderful! They truly care about our pets and treat them like family. Whenever I’m there with my dog they always take the time to answer all my questions, they never rush the appointment, and they clearly explain solutions or options to any concerns I have. Whitefish is so blessed to have such an amazing vet clinic in town. Thank you Whitefish Animal Hospital for all that you do!!! ❤️

I recently posted a review on this site that is nowhere to be seen. Instead I see reviews from 4 and 5 years ago. I was in a couple days ago and was given inaccurate advice from Dr. Melissa about dog food. She said latest studies show that dog food without grain causes a heart condition callied dilates cardio myopathy. I have since done some research and find that this is in fact caused by peas and other legumes block absorption of taurine, which is actually the cause. She went on to recommend some commercial brands that I would never feed my dog. I ferd Nature's Logic, which I am very pleased with and has athe right ingredients. More can be learned by talking to Mikaela at D O Gee or by calling Nature's Logic.

What a fantastic experience! They managed to fit us in same day (even though we had to come from canada!) And diagnosed a CCL rupture. Dr Jim was SO patient and thorough going over all our options and explained EVRYTHING in detail, and ALL the staff we dealt with were absolutely wonderful and friendly!
