As crowds had thinned out at the end of the day, walked into the lodge and were seated promptly at 7:00. Lovely dining room with good acoustics. Limited menu. Average green salad, tasty pork, steel head trout, mild with salmon flavor, wild rice with vegetables. Huckleberry ice cream and chocolate mousse cake for dessert. My husband enjoyed this dinner more than I did. I was underwhelmed and he was very satisfied.

Place was very nice! Vegan food was very good! The other food was “just fine” per the rest of our table.

Stopped for sandwiches and salads before taking the boat tour of Lake MacDonald. Food was fine, but nothing special. It's greatest appeal is its location and convenience.

Pork flat iron was amazing. Busy but worth the wait. Fun atmosphere for dinner. Great

We had dinner at Russell's Dining Room after a boat tour on Lake McDonald. I'm updating my review because we really enjoyed our entrees and I feel like our evening entrees were of a better quality than lunch. My Columbia River Steelhead Trout was perfectly grilled and the hazelnut brown rice and quinoa was nutty and flavorful. The grilled squash and broccolini complemented the fish as well. My companion's chicken, though a little dry, had a delicious mushroom and herb sauce as well as the hazelnut quinoa and veggies. The dining area was a little cramped but our entrees came out quickly and service was friendly and efficient.

We only went here because it was literally our only option unless we wanted to drive 30-45 minutes for something else. The restaurant setup was nice and had a cute theme. The server also went out of his way to get us the food that we were craving which wasn't on the current dinner menu. My only qualm about this place is the front greeter seemed miserable and was rather rude.

Beautiful ambiance of a historic lodge. Service was nice but for vegetarians the food choices were very limited, and bland.Vegetarian options: Very limited and bland

GREAT food. Fun atmosphere. Just really tiny so hard to get a seat. Server TRAVIS is awesome! Recommend a stop amd the main dining room has same/similar menu so food comparable. Only 4 seats at the bar and 7 tables. Of 4 or less. So-with the wait?great views tooVegetarian options: Had curry lentil soup-fantastic. Plenty of options for such a small menu. Amd kale quinoa salad delish

After having few food options in Yellowstone we were happy to find this restaurant at Glacier National Park. The burger was great as was the pasta with trout. Would recommend this restaurant if you are traveling through Glacier.

Russells is worth the wait, they do not take reservations so you need to put in your name and then walk around, or sit in the lodge, play some chess, look in the gift shop. It's worth it, the food is delicious and fills you up. Highly recommend. Enjoy

I think it may be time to give up on NPS food. I realize they hire college students and most likely they don't know what they are doing and they are just stuck in there with little to no training. But my goodness it is awful and getting worse. The server was very nice, as was every NPS employee we encountered. It was just the food.

The food was delicious. The service, however, was one of the worst experiences I have had in a long time. It started with an attitude from the host, who seemed highly annoyed that I was to ask if they sold the burgers at dinner. Then once sitting at the table, it took our server a long time to even greet us. At first, I was giving her the benefit of the doubt: it was hot, and she seemed to have three other tables besides us, but as the meal went on, she would entirely skip our table to go to the tables beside us, asking them if we needed more drinks, how the food was if we needed anything, etc. I had to tell the busboy what we needed because our waitress did not care to give us the time of day. Then after putting my card down for ten minutes, with her walking by our table several times, I had to flag her down to come to take it.I am giving it two stars purely because the guy who filled our waters was very attentive, and the food was good, but how the waitress treated me there does not make me want to return. It wasn't very pleasant.

An enjoyable place to eat and take a break during a day in Glacier National Park. The food was pretty good, with a few standouts. In particular, the huckleberry pie paired with a scoop of huckleberry ice cream was fantastic.
