Please whatever you do do NOT use Amerigas for your propane!!! They promise the moon when you sign up but in the end can't deliver. You will NEVER speak with someone "in the office" if there is an issue. You speak with a foreign call center. Even the employees that work for them (drivers) are so disgruntled they speak poorly of thier own company. There are too many things that have happened to list...believe me this is a company that takes you down the rabbit hole. NO customer service.

I was so hopeful that AmeriGas would be a great carrier for our Propane. They have been delivering to my Montana property for a year. Now, all of a sudden, they can't find me! I have been on the phone DAILY to find out when my Propane will be delivered. I had a scheduled date of 12/8. No call, no show. Customer service is worthless. They all read off of a card and the excuses are generic. I've never been so frustrated with a company than I have with these folks! We rely on our Propane for heat, cooking and hot water. These people could care less about you. Keep in mind when you are shopping for a Propane provider! Save your tears, I've cried them for you!!!!

Be prepared to be robbed! I was double billed to start. I was then billed for tank rental for year one when it was advertised as free. After a year long hassle with apathetic personnel I had them close my account. I verified with Amerigas twice and confirmed that my account was closed. Several months later they finally showed up and removed their tank at which point they billed me $300 for "Contract Enrollment" and "Pickup charge"! They then informed me that 'enrollment' only ends when the tank is picked up after telling me that my 'enrollment' had been over for several months. They lie incessantly. Their degree of apathy towards the customer is unmatched. The word deceit definitely belongs in this company's mission statement. You have been warned. Plan on being robbed.

6 years ago they removed our propane tank. Now that I want to resume service, they say they have no record that they picked up the tank. If they didn't have a record, wouldn't I still be receiving a bill for a tank rental? Now they have me jumping through hoops while they "investigate it." I am done.

The only reason they get one is because zero is not an option. Local?... Not hardly. You have to call a national operator so they can tell you what the business literally down the street is doing. Then, they don't relay that information to the local driver so we keep missing our delivery. Yep, you guessed it, we're out of propane after getting the run around for over two weeks. Stopped by they local office.... And closed...on a Wednesday... Middle of the day.

On the phone right now with some guy from India... there is no way to contact the "local" V-1 Propane office like you used to be able to. Before Amerigas bought V-1 you could call and speak with someone locally who always made things work. Amerigas is horrible. The customer service is covered overseas. The reps TRY to help but they have no clue really, often they just repeat the script they have in front of them because they don't quite "get" what your problem/concern/question is. It is beyond frustrating and very time consuming.I am on budget billing, the idea is that you have the same payment every month. The old V-1 used to call me if my usage changed and re-negotiated a new monthly payment, which occurred about once every 3 years. Amerigas just CHANGES the payment due every 3 months, with no phone call or letter. Your bill always shows "over-due". That isn't budget billing, it's greed. As soon as my tank is low enough I am switching to a LOCAL company. It's never good when a conglomerate buys out a local business. It becomes all about the money instead of the service. If I could give this company ZERO stars I would. It is too bad too, because the delivery guys are great. Kudos to them.

Very unfriendly office personnel, high rates and very bad customer service. Extra hidden fees. I would recommend using another propane company in the valley.

Friendly and prompt service. The staff and driver at the local office in Victor are always courteous a pleasure to do business with.

If there was a negative star that would be my choice. My elderly parents pilot went out and they said they would light it for a hefty price. Meanwhile my folks have no heat...thankfully a friend of a family works there and he has helped us more times than the business combined. Thank you Robert Birch even on or off the job you have helped us so much! Thank you for the wood to get them by! As for V1 you deceived us telling us that there should be only 1 time throughout winter where they have to fill. 3 fills later....you lied. As for the receptionist, I seemed more of a bother to her than anything, instead of helping, she gives me another business to light it. Disappointed.

This company was decent before it was purchased by Amerigas. Now it's a complete joke. The office staff is unfriendly. The rates are higher than anyone else and they add in extra fees and don't tell you. If you are a new customer they will give you a screaming deal on your first fill but after that be prepared to pay more than the local average. When you ask for an explanation as to why they are so high they will tell you the rates change daily. My advice is to steer clear and try one of the other companies in the valley.
