Just returned home from my Rich Ranch Snowmobile Trip, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations! Immediately we were picked up and greeted by Jack Rich and his daughter Shannon at Missoula airport. Again, the ranch owners picking us up was not what I expected, and the fun started from there. Jack made us all laugh hysterically within the first minutes of meeting him and we had no shortage of conversation and laughs on the near 2 hour ride to the ranch!We were a group of nine guys that wanted to stay together in one large cabin, a request they were able to accommodate. The Heritage Lodge not only accommodated us but did so comfortably with seven beds, four bathrooms, a spacious sitting area by the fire that fit all of us, and a hot tub on the deck. It's a beautiful and expansive log cabin that remained incredibly warm and cozy even in the -50 temperatures we experienced at night.The snowmobiles we rode were BRAND NEW Gen 5 Skidoo Summits. We put the very first miles on them, and they are incredible machines. The views of the beautiful ranch and landscape captivated us every time we paused to take in the scenery. It truly feels like God's country out here. If the temperatures weren't so cold due to the polar vortex this week, I could have stayed outside staring at the stars all night.The snowmobiling expeditions were scenic, fun, and safe. We are all amateur riders with no real backcountry experience, and a few were first-timers altogether, so we kept it to mostly trail riding. The trails at higher elevations had several feet of fresh powder, providing quite the experience. Our guides, Will and Tim, were stellar, always ensuring we were safe and helping anyone get un-stuck. Ranch owner Jack Rich also joined us on some trips, and we enjoyed midday lunches around a large fire in the backcountry. On one day, Jack even brought his grill to cook burgers for us on the trail!Now, to the highlight of the trip and what, in my opinion, made this experience extraordinary. The hospitality and good times shared with Jack & Belinda Rich and the entire Rich Ranch family were unlike anything I've experienced on any vacation. It felt like being with family, as opposed to staying at a hotel or resort. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were shared with the Rich family at their table. We'd come in a little early, enjoy some hot cider in the sitting area adjacent to the kitchen until dinner was served, and engage in pleasant conversations with everyone. It felt entirely natural. The food was superb, and we never had a bad meal or felt hungry. In fact, I haven't eaten this much food in a single day in years. So, if you're tempted to bring snacks, you probably shouldn't :)As I mentioned, the hospitality of the Rich family is what made this experience truly exceptional. Jack Rich is by far the most interesting man in the world. He can keep you intrigued for hours with stories about the ranch's history, his family/ancestry, Montana, and just life in general. There was never a dull moment during the nearly five days we spent there. I would undoubtedly return to this beautiful place again to experience other seasons and maybe a hunting expedition. There is so much to see and do. I look forward to coming back one day. Thank you so much for the experience Rich Family, we love you guys!Stavros

I just spent a week at the Rich Family Ranch with 20 of my best girl friends. I could not have asked for a better experience. The Rich family did whatever it took to make our adventure memorable. We had women who had never ridden horses to accomplished riders. They accommodated us all. Jack, Belinda, Shannon and their crew are “salt of the Earth” people and truly welcome you as family. I look forward to going again.Rooms: The rooms were very clean and honey. They were decorated to make you feel you were out west.Safety: Helmets are available for those who may want to wear them.Food & drinks: This is a dry establishment but you are free to bring your own adult beverages The food was beyond amazing and getting to eat with the cowboys, cowgirls and wranglers really gave us the chance to get to know them and have them share their love of Montana.Noteworthy details: This famil really takes you in to make you feel like one of their own. They are delightful.

Upon first meeting the Rich family, which includes the staff, you feel at home. When leaving a few days later, you just wanna to take them with you. That's not gonna happen, so you'll try to stay a little longer, trust me. That's why we go every year now. Oh yeah, all the outdoor stuff is amazing, and the food is terrific, by the way, so that's a real plus, too.

The moment we showed up at the ranch we were greeted with open arms! Seriously! Mr. Jack and Mrs. Belinda and their staff treat you with the utmost kindness and respect. Their lodge and cabins are warm and homey feeling. The food is amazing! It is a beautiful ranch that is kept up with hard work and lots of love. The snowmobile experience was amazing with breathtaking views! Everything about our stay was wonderful and we cannot wait to be able to return! We could stay in those beautiful woods and mountains forever....Thank you so very much guys - our hearts are full!!

My friend and I had a top notch experience at Rich Ranch in September 2019. The highlight was the one night pack trip to Leota Peak where the hunting camp is. Our wrangler John was at our beck and call all week. We could ride whenever it suited us on beautiful scenic trails right from the ranch. He also took us into 2 towns for some sightseeing and treated us to lunch. Comfortable, roomy cabins, hot tub, laundry facilities, amazing food. I highly recommend this guest ranch to both beginner and experienced horsemen.

Our entire family, 18 in all, spent 5 days with the Rich Ranch family. It is the unanimous opinion that this was the best trip ever for our family. The scenery was amazing. Three meals a day were voted right up there with a Baptist homecoming. The snowmobiling was a thrill for all. Best of all... the family that is Rich's Montana Guest Ranch, Jack, Belinda and all those who made this adventure possible, are unbelievable. We felt so welcome and at home. We will forever remember the peace that was this vacation.

The TLC that the RR puts into everything you do with them is second to none. My wife and I are very novice snowmobilers and their skill, patience and experience is top notch. You already know how absolutely beautiful Northern Montana is, right? Well, they make sure you're on the best machines with great gear (if you don't have your own), which makes the experience that much better. To experience the Rich family and their Montana traditions would be well worth it, I assure you., even if that's all you did. The Richs' are great folks as well as their whole staff. It's just all one big family.

This review is long overdue. My family and I visited the 1st week of August 2021. We had a wonderful time at Rich Ranch. All of the reviews are true! The Rich family and staff treat you like family during your stay. My wife and 3 young boys loved their trip here. We are city-slickers from the East Coast and have never ridden horses before. The ranch has well trained horses to accommodate beginners including my 6, 7, and 10 year old boys. I never thought I’d see my little boys riding horses! If you come to this ranch in the summer, you come to ride daily. The home-cooked meals were wonderful and it was nice to get to know the Rich family and staff during our meals. The ribs were great the first night! My wife and I would like to especially thank Peggy, Jack, John, Natalie, and Toni. These folks really made our trip fun and memorable. Thank you very much!!!
