Biggest steak in Western Montana; great taste. Simple ordering solution. A Seeley Lake must dine in!?

Reading through the reviews the people rating this place lower are all complaining about the lack of sides choices. Clearly they have never been to a high end steak house where serving you a perfect steak is the focus. If you want sides instead of steak, go to outback and enjoy your salad and fries. If you want a perfect juicy low fat steak, you are going to love Lindey's. Big, thick, juicy, almost no fat and cooked perfect. Highly recommend!

My wife and I were excited to try Lindey's, but we heavily regret it. The food (steaks) was nothing special, the waitress refused to bring me butter for "garlic butter bread" that had neither butter nor garlic to begin with, and they seated a party of 6 foul-mouthed loggers immediately adjacent to us when literally every other table was empty. Only compliment I can give is the restaurant looks nice and their mushroom side was good. Other than that, I completely regret spending $105 and not raising my opinions in person. Sorry, just being honest.Edit after reading the owner's response:If I couldn't even get butter, I don't feel confident that I would've been helped in changing tables. That's why I'm typing away on Google, because I didn't want to spend the rest of my birthday evening complaining for no reason.

Perhaps I am not the most generous when it comes to tipping, but I find it quite challenging to receive a smile from the staff. On this particular occasion, I had ordered shrimp to accompany my steak, but instead received sautéed mushrooms. To make matters worse, my shrimp arrived only after I had already consumed half of my steak. Considering the fact that I paid $60 for a mere eight shrimp and a specialty steak, I must admit I feel somewhat deceived. However, I am willing to give this establishment another chance and hope that the waiting staff will be more cheerful in the future.Parking: Slippery parking lot during the winter.

The food at this place is to die for! Amazing thousand island salad dressing unlike any thousand island dressing I’ve ever had before (100000 times better, you could eat grass as long as you put this dressing on top) Shell out at get the whole meal set if you can!! Delicious! Don’t forget their AMAZING MUSHROOM BURGER at their burger place out the back!

The best I mean the best steaks ever in Montana- we drive over 50 miles one way to eat there. It's an absolute treat and I highly recommend you try it. 25 years and we have never been disappointed. I love their cocktails. Old fashioned and gimlets like the way they were.

Seems like most businesses in Seeley Lake; visiting seems like they do not appreciate your stopping by. Yes, it is a resort community! Your expectation is that you are about to be left with something extraordinary as a memory. After all, you traveled fifty miles or more to experience a restaurant in the Swan Valley; one of only five pristine wilderness areas left in our country. Unfortunately, the location on the lake was the best part of the evening. The service was matter of fact, rushed not even welcoming or friendly. The meal òfffered had extremely limited selections and was mediocre, like any run of the mill restaurant. The expectation of an up scale specialty establishment advertised as a premier steakhouse was not supported. In fairness, I visited during the off-season, and possibly my expectations were askew. But overall, this is just another steakhouse. So if you're a steak lover looking for a wonderfully memorable evening in a resort location with extraordinary service, your selection may lead to a less than memorable experience.

New Years Eve, the roads were great, so we decided to make our way from Missoula to Lindey's. We have Lived in Missoula 35 yrs and never been. We sat in the bar and had a drink... fabulous margarita. When we went into the dining room the waitress explained the menu and the history of Lindeys. So interesting. Never have I been to a restaurant that had only 3 steaks for dinner or shrimp. It made the decision easy. We had steak and shrimp and the amazing button mushrooms. Let me tell you... probably the best steak I ever had. It was a really enjoyable experience loved the place and the food. Really look forward to going again.

Posted a review about the experience saying it was not worth the money spent and how I was talked to by the young people at bay burgers (also same owners). I was treated terribly as I was sitting at the bench by the water and I heard the girls inside bay burgers making fun of people including me and my family. Inside the steak house they pick your food up in a doggy bag like it was a poop from a dog. A box would be alright.. after leaving a review regarding the issues. The owner then tried to get me kicked off the high school football team. If I didn’t delete the review, I was gone, is what I was told. Not sure if this is the place to enjoy a vacation meal or just a mediocre steak. Dine elsewhere and you’ll be treated better. Service is below par.

It's the place for steak and only steak. If you are a vegetarian you can enjoy mushrooms, salad and potatoes and if you're lucky they will have the option of adding shrimp or crab legs to your steak order. It's served family style which would be great for a family but in a group with people you don't know that well it's a little awkward. Service was on the slow side and a little rough around the edges.

I love steak. This was a very basic steak. Edible but not worth $37. The sides were awful. The "salad" is iceberg lettuce with 2 tomato slices. That's a garnish not a salad. Plain smashed potatoes, garlic bread and a bite of pickled watermelon rind. I also personally don't like any restaurants that literally have zero options. They serve one meal only. Very disappointed. I would have walked out before ordering but my husband and daughter wanted to give it a try. No options for vegetarians.
