I dont know where to begin, I dont want to sound like I am bashing the post office entirely. Holly who used to work there was my knight in shining armor, now that she is gone seems to be madness. While I understand there are only a very few number of workers here who have to deal with perhaps thousands of items of mail a day,I'vee reached a point and am fed up..
I had a ring with cremains in it "deliver", that ive been waiting for months for to get made, watched the tracking history like a hawk, had 3 different delays in sending the cremains and shipping the ring, get IMMEDIATELY sent back to the sender, due to "insufficent address" all because PO number was not listed. It was supposed to go to my place of buisness, never the post office. Im not in control of mail whatsoever, all i know is my place of business has packages delivered there all the time, no issue, without going to the PO. When i told them it was a ring with cremains in it, they straight up tried to tell me it was not. ? haha. That was very frustrating, like they knew what is in my package.
Not only that, I also had another box deliver that was just a hoodie that also immediately got sent back due to "insufficent address". Since i paid for the pre order at the store in Billings in cash and the front desk lady put my mailing address in for me incorrectly, it wasnt worth it to try and resend/redo the whole thing, I had to get a refund that turned into store credit..so now im out $55 bucks, strictly because the post office sent it back..
I understand they have a protocol, but when talking with the person who made and sent my ring, who constantly is dealing with sending and recieving packages with cremains, i guess theres supposed to be an ADDITIONAL PROTOCOL for these types of situations where the post office is supposed to HOLD THE PACKAGE for a certain number of days. I dont know what happened (again it was supposed to go to my place of business) or why they dont hold packages for anyone, im not the first or only one having to go through this. If they had done this i couldve picked it up no problem. If it had been any other post office, i guess they wouldve followed that protocol and held it until i came and got it. But no.. within the same hour it delivered they sent it back. I didnt even get a chance to go ask them about it, by the time i did it was gone. i am completely APPALLED. It's not about the ring. Its just the fact it had my kitties cremains.
Ive never even had an issue with this place until 2 days before Christmas 2023, I tried to get 1 small box that was a Christmas present, 5 minutes before they closed, one of the main ladies Robyn, violently shook her head at me while helping someone else and only said "no". I responded "are you sure? Its just 1 box" I knew I'd have to come back for more boxes anyway the next day along with 50 other people, but she again, violently shook her head no at me. As much as i wanted to push they were still open for 5 minutes, i was already having a horrible day and just huffed and left.
Im sure her day sucked too but I didnt deserve that. Im always very understanding never rude.
I come here out of pure frustration to write this, something needs to be done with this problem. I dont know what the core problem is. We need a mail truck or something...
As much as i would like to consider an alternate solution to get my mail, i cannot. I would just reconsider getting a box here if I were you...

where do i even begin.holly who used to work there was my knight in shining armor, now that she is gone it is madness. while i understand there are only a very few number of workers here who have to deal with thousands of items of mail a day, ive reached a point and am fed up.today i had a ring with CREMAINS in it, that ive been waiting for months for to get made, watched the tracking history like a hawk, had 3 different delays in sending the cremains and shipping the ring, get IMMEDIATELY sent back to the sender all the way across the us, due to "insufficent address" all because the little " * " PO ____ was not listed. the way the package got shipped was out of my knowledge and control, when i told them it was a ring with cremains in it, they tried to tell me it was not. ? haha. like they knew what is in my package, all because it wasnt sent the way they prefer it. now, im stuck waiting another number of weeks/a month to get closure on my DEAD CAT. i cant feel closure till i have my ring...NOT ONLY THAT, i also had another box deliver that was just a hoodie that also immediately got sent back due to "insufficent address". since i paid for the hoodie at the store in billings in cash and the front desk lady put my mailing address in for me incorrectly, it wasnt even worth it to try and resend the whole thing, i had to get a refund that turned into store credit. i only did this because they didnt have my size of the hoodie in store. so now im out $55 bucks, strictly because the post office sent it back, and if i tried reordering it, the site does not allow me to put the required "*" PO ___.so, no hoodie, and i lose 55 bucks.the kicker here is, i have an incredibly unique first name no one else here has, we all know each other personally, the address on the package was listed correctly had no issues and had my name. they also know the peoples whos address was on it (my work place). i put the address of my workplace in attempt to avoid this situation since they get boxes delivered to them without going to the post office all the time.THE PACKAGE WAS NEVER SUPPOSED TO GO TO THE POST OFFICE SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE I HAD A FEELING THIS WOULD HAPPEN!i understand they have a protocol, but when talking with the person who made and sent my ring, who constantly is dealing with sending and recieving packages with cremains, theres supposed to be an ADDITIONAL PROTOCOL for these types of situations where the post office is supposed to HOLD THE PACKAGE for a certain number of days. if they had done this i couldve picked it up no problem. if it had been ANY OTHER POST OFFICE, they wouldve followed that protocol and held it until i came and got it. nope, within the same hour it delivered they sent it back. i didnt even get a chance to go ask them about it, by the time i did it was gone. i am completely APPALLED.ive never even had an issue with this place until 2 days before christmas 2023, i tried to get 1 small box that was a christmas present, 5 minutes before they closed, one of the main ladies Robyn, violently shook her head at me while helping someone else and said "no". i responded "are you sure? its just 1 box" i knew id have to come back for more boxes anyway the next day, but she again, violently shook her head no at me. as much as i wanted to push they were still open for 5 minutes, i was already having a horrible day and just huffed and left.now, everytime i go in there, she is short with me and unwilling to help me, making me feel disrespected and horrible whenever i see her. im very understanding never rude, i dont know what i did to her.i come here out of pure frustration to write this, something needs to be done with this problem. if there was a higher up who was in charge that i knew could help me id turn to them. i cannot believe there isnt and this place is just free to be a circus the way it is.i am SO FRUSTRATED i have no control of the boxes to just go directly to my house and this is the situation im facing.i write this to plead to you, DO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT

The staff have horrible attitudes every time I go in, always an unpleasant experience when I have to go up to the counter for something. Have had mail that was way to large stuffed in a tiny box and destroyed. Also have had packages returned to sender that due to "lack of invalid address" when my name street address and PO box were all present on the label.

Worst Post Office Ever. They never use larger mailboxes for packages and key in my mailbox anymore. I have 5 yellow cards to wait in long line to pick up my items! Of course they are completely locked down from 12:30 to 1:40 and that line is always 20 people, since they no longer use big mail boxes for packages. After lunch only one teller comes out and is super slow or will stand and talk to customers she knows, general conversation. With Christmas coming PLEASE USE LARGE MAIL BOXES for packages. The staff does everything to make their job as easy as possible and never offers any customer service. I agree with all the negative reviews, but, does the Post Master Ever read the reviews or try to improve service? No, I guess not.

This is by far the worst post office I have ever dealt with. I have had multiple of my items ruined because they fold them up and shove them into my post office box when they obviously do not fit. The most recent one I ordered was brand new folders that were rolled up and folded and shoved in my box And they were totally ruined. When I told the postal service worker named Robin at the front desk, she informed me that maybe I should check my post office box more often and it wouldn’t happen. I don’t know how much more rude you can be. Checking my box more often, and has nothing to do with the fact that my mail is folded over and smashed into that box. I am highly dissatisfied with the way. She has treated me as a customer and I am calling for her publicly to be fired, because as a customer service representative, you do not treat the customer in that manner. I then spoke to her manager who did nothing about it as well . This post office is a joke, and it is completely unfortunate that I have to deal with this every single day. Spend the extra dollar and ship it UPS or FedEx. This place is terrible. The employees don’t care about anything here. Good luck getting the correct package.

I agree with James Kirk's review below. The girls have little customer service and or common courtesy. They have an excuse for everything, never apologize, and make you tape your package if your at the counter. Tell you how to place to and from on envelope as if we are stupid. They seem to work the bare minimum. Also, if there are 8 people in line, they take their time coming back to the counter, from the back with food in their mouths. Then stand and chat with the person at front desk as if the long line did not exist. The one young gal is the worst, very aggressive and if she doesn't like you or if you give her attitude back, she will try to kick you out as if we were in a bar. Keys are left to pick up larger package in bigger boxes but when you open big box, nothing is in there and no explanation given only, it happens. Another time, I had to show the clerk that a package was delivered, from email updates I get. She went in back and no apology or anything, only, oh, here it is. Again, this is not a customer service driven office. The stand in Post Master was great in addressing issues and the young gal was written up again. I miss the old days where ALL people were treated kindly.

Easy to get stamps. The Post Office was efficient I serving the counter and package pick up. I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes.

This might be the worst post office in the state of Montana. They have a constant attitude of “not my problem.” I once got chewed out for going to the counter 4 minutes before their lunch break because they have a break at 12:30 and “people should know that!” We were done by 12:28. Another time, someone had shipped me a package, it made it part way across the country and got stuck in another city. The employee refused to help me in any way and kept saying the sender’s fault, despite being able to see it was hung up in their system. They close at 4:30, before most people get off work, they take an hour lunch and completely shut the whole place down from 12:30-1:00, rather than taking lunch in shifts, making it nearly impossible to get your packages without taking time off work. And when they screw up they have a habit of trying to make you feel like it’s your fault. Terrible, but they don’t care because what are you going to do about it?At a time when USPS is struggling to stay afloat, you’d think they would be bending over backwards to help people. Instead, these folks treat you like dirt and have an attitude of “not my problem.”

I rarely write reviews but it was such an upsetting experience I feel like I should share. Virgilyn Sticka, who goes by the name Susie, a postal clerk, was so rude there really aren't words to describe how horrible she treated us. First, she held up a line of 6 customers to buy her personal "flower stamps". She cut in line ahead of the first customer and made the clerk get her the right stamps because he didn't get her "the flower ones" she initially wanted. That male clerk was joking with her and they took their sweet time as customers piled up. At one point, Susie even made a comment about how she should NOT make him get the flowered stamps because of all the customers are waiting. We finally reached the male clerk. We had made appts online and received confirmations that we were set to get our passports. I am an organized person and triple checked my packets before we arrived to make sure it would be as easy as possible. As instructed, we arrived 10 min early. When I let the male clerk know we had appts for passports his disgust was evident. He sighed, rolled his eyes, and walked into the back. Out comes Susie (the clerk that had held up the line and made us all cringe because she was so snotty to the other clerk while he got her the flower stamps she wanted.) This is our first time getting passports. We asked her if the birth certificates would be returned and she went off on us about the US Dept of State requirements. My husband finally spoke up because she was being just awful, talking to us like we were ignorant, uncooperative people. He politely told her there was no need to speak to us that way and said a yes or no answer would suffice. We were dumbfounded at how horrible we were treated. They were absolutely disgusted with our request for passports. It was as if we were asking for a special favor. It's a service they provide and we paid over $300 total for that service, we weren't asking for any special requests. It's truly sad how these clerks treat people.
