Purchased $23 of gas with my Am Ex credit card at the pump outside. When I returned home I received a message that the charge was $175.00. I contacted the station and was told they do this when you purchase gas at the pump to prevent theft??? They likened it to a pre-pay at a hotel for incidentals. They claim all Cenex stations do this. This was a first for me and I have purchased gas at outside pumps all over the world. This is a good reason to avoid Cenex stations.

I love the service there and personally love the affordable pizza and the huckleberry cake doughnuts. Generally I prefer to go to Zip Trip in favor of the others in town because of their good selection of snacks and drinks.
