They told me they would have my cake ready at x time and when I got there they just started to work on it. They had a bigger order to do. If they didn't have time to get it done by the pick up time they should have never accepted it. I've used Safeway bakery for years for events and I will not put any further events of mine in jeopardy. I'll be taking my business elsewhere for now on.

They're awesome and great cake decorators I bought a cake for my daughter's birthday and I recommend if you ever need a cake or just a loaf of bread that you order from this bakery they're awesome and friendly.

We are vacationing in the area and stopped in at Safeway. The cashier "Etta" made our day with her wonderful sense of humor and great service. We will go back just to look for her next time.

Customer service is lacking for sure. The front clerk was cussing up a storm to another cashier. While another customer at self check out was waiting to be helped, someone up front finally asked him to help the person. Meat department is bare minimum of people, the bell to ring isn't marked, so if you don't know you can be standing there forever with no one bothering to stop and ask if you need help, including the manager.

Store is clean, food options are good BUT, customer service is lacking. I have had several incidents that has prompted me to write this review. 1. stood at meat counter for over 15 minutes waiting for help, several employees walked passed me more than one, never bother to see if I needed help...manager was one of them. 2. twice i have ordered pick up and both times there has been an issue...expired meat and rotten fruit 3. this last Monday feb 8, I was using the self check out, the guy in the next register (5) and the guy supposed to be watching the self check out eye talking about the super bowl and dropping f-bombs and other cuss words. Someone was needing help, at the self checkout and he was literally too busy talking smack to help, FINALLY someone at customer service told him to go help that person these are not the only incidences.... too bad because this is a nice store!

I think they better get a proper cake decorating person, or stop offering the service!!! Nephews were not happy with their birthday cakes! Honestly, it looked like a child decorated them.

follow guidelines of Albertsons on sale items. Safeway in Polson makes it difficult for SENIORS that are on a fixed income to take advantage of "just for you sale items". recently I had to,jump through hoops to get lowest price on items that were Mark sale price in store and listed in Safeway flier. I have been a Safeway member for over 15 years now. recently went to Safeway store in Idaho and received all the special sale items without having to dig my phone out to show my "special coupons".

Berta in the deli makes the best breakfast burritos in town. They are at least twice the size of anyone else in town, restaurant deli or otherwise. The quality is unsurpassed. Everyone where I work religiously orders these burritos several times a week. If you need a quick breakfast that isn't lacking give the Safeway deli a try. The deli lunch sandwiches are also great!

When we first moved here in 2000 and beyond for a few years I would have given this place a 5 Star. Since Albertson's took over it has gone down the tubes. They have sales and you go in and no merchandise. Twice in the past year, we've gone in to the Deli and it was closed early. Workers didnt show up. When you do go to the Deli, like my last time, 4 workers total, three standing talking and laughing while 1 waiting on 3 of us. At check out, you have to have a decoder ring to know if you got the sale price or not. Sad.

Pretty good assortment of items. Carries some things that are hard to find around here. I was surprised to find decent cheese and wine selection here. The bakery is pretty good. If you want good donuts from here go first thing in the morning. The donuts are always fresh in the morning so get there and get them then. They stay open pretty late for the area. Prices are really reasonable. The produce needs to really step up. Most of it goes bad in a day or two.... That has to be one of the most frustrating things and to see moldy produce is kind of scary and shows poor management.
