Had a very pleasant, basic and budget friendly stay here. Great place to stay when passing through. Clean rooms, good service.

Not a pleasant experience - first off, drove for quite a ways with two kiddoes in tow and had selected this property simply because of the hot tub and the swimming pool.We get there, and it says "Swimming pool and hot tub is closed until Friday October 13th" - generally speaking, if they give a specific and precise date when the facilities will become available, it means that it's either maintenance or it's something they had known about - it wasn't a random breakdown requiring repair (I would find out later it's was grout work and repainting)! They could have placed this (that the pool and hot tub would not be available for these dates) on the official Choice Hotels specific website for this property when I had booked my reservation on there.I had then asked the young lady at the front desk if I could cancel. She said no, because it wasn't within the cancellation window. I said - "Even though I was not alerted to the fact there would be some sort of maintenance on the pool and it would be unavailable??" - the kind young lady had then offered a 10% discount, so I did not feel like arguing this with my credit card company if I were to walk out and stay somewhere else that had a functioning pool and hot tub, so we stayed. She then had asked me if I wanted to leave it on the credit card that I booked it on through the Choice website. I responded - "No, please use that credit card to hold the deposit, and on check out, I would prefer to pay in cash."Apparently, at this hotel, you have to pay the cost of the room up front plus a $150 cash deposit if you are using cash money.Apparently, you cannot lay down a credit card just to hold the deposit and pay for the cost of the room in cash when you checkout at this property.I have never, ever, ever, ever ever, ever, never been to a hotel that does not let you lay down a credit card ONLY for the deposit and then pay the room cost in cash when you check out in the morning at the end of your stay. The room itself was reasonably clean, but was in severe need of an upgrade. there are scratches and dings on all the furniture and the tiny flat screen TV looked like it was Generation One of the flat screens circa 2002.Finally, their being unable to "voice authorize" my credit card that I placed on the Choice hotels website when I had originally made the reservation, they had asked me have to go down to the front desk and straighten it out with a different credit card......that was pretty much the cherry on top of this sundae for this property.Understand - The two young ladies at the front counter were beyond patient and helpful!! THEY literally were the only reason this property did not get one star. Choice really has to establish reasonable policies and force its franchisees to follow those reasonable policies.Strongly suggest giving this property a miss and stay somewhere substantially closer to i-90 instead.Food & drinks: Lots of dining options nearby

I am only writing this review because I feel like the front desk staff should be applauded. Taylor at the front desk deserves to be recognized for her ability to handle terrible, horrible people with so much dignity because I never could. Her ability to stay calm and sweet even when having a grown man yell at her for his own mistakes is impressive. She is definitely someone good to have at the front desk, and I hope she is recognized as such.Ashlyn was so sweet upon check in. Despite being new, she was very efficient and knowledgeable. The Sleep Inn sure has a great group of young women running the show!Thank you Sleep Inn! If we find ourselves in Missoula in the future, we will surely stay here again.

Stayed one night a few months ago, no issue. Friendly staff clean rooms and quiet hotel. Me and my wife returned for our anniversary and were denied our stay, and were not given a reason to why we couldn't stay. I would avoid this hotel if you don't want to be labeled as a "bad guest".

Very lovely hotel. The staff are very nice to talk to, the gal at the front desk was really nice! I talked to her for quite a while. The rooms were nice and clean, as well as the rest of the hotel. The complimentary breakfast was nice too :) I felt very safe here as a solo travelerRooms: My room was very clean and well made, which I really appreciated.Safety: I felt very safe here. I have been staying at a lot of different hotels the past few months and I felt the safest at this one by a long shot

Im impressed with the upgrades to the rooms. the staff.... total anti social tools except for the morning employee who was very nice. They big giant blonde girl and the short hair brunette who relieved her were just total tools. you can't smoke there but the entire place smelled like pot after about 5 pm. And the dike manning the counter said, " it happens!" I don't care about pot but if you're gonna have a policy stick with it.

Noisy, a lack of maintenance shows up every step of my stay, from the dings in the walls to the leaky shower door. The back door has a broken door arrester, and no bumper. So SLAM SLAM SLAM ALL NIGHT!!! just a completely terrible stay overall.Rooms: Thin walls if you like hearing your neighbors. My door key stopped working when I got up forcing me to go talk to the front desk.

Well, booked a room last night bc I was super tired and booked the first one on Google. When I looked on their website I noticed a pet fee of $20 for up to two dogs per night, 50 lbs each. Notice that it says per night, not per dog. When I awoke this morning I discovered an invoice on the bedroom floor. When I noticed I had been charged $40 for the dogs, I went to the front desk to ask about it. Taylor, the girl working told me that the policy is for dogs and it was what it was. I told her that she was being very rude, at which point she thanked me and started to read the policy back to me off of the site. When I told her that the site said $20 for up to two dogs l, then she read it back to me, word for word, then told me it was policy, deal with it. I asked to speak to a manager because she was so rude, which happened to be the woman next to her, who was equally as rude. Neither one of them should be in customer service. They are both just ugly people with ugly attitudes. I'm sorry I brought your own website against you

I really don't understand the bad reviews here. Because for a budget friendly hotel, this Sleep Inn was just wonderful in our opinion.Every staff member we dealt with was friendly, professional and helpful. The room was updated, clean and comfortable.Swimming pool very well maintained (and I'm picky about hotel pools).Nice breakfast in the morning. No cheap coffee in styrofoam cups like the last place we had stayed in Idaho. The restaurant right next door (Paradise Cafe) was a plus. Had a really good meal there. We would happily stay at Sleep Inn in Missoula again..

The hotel was nice and clean, well maintained inside and out. Beds are really comfy. The hot tub felt amazing!!Food & drinks: The restaurant next door was awesome. Our server was the best. Very prompt friendly and knowledgeable about the menu without having to look at it. When my friend mentioned her hubby was in the room next door at hotel sick he brought her a chicken noodle soup and said it was on him.

It was a decent hotel with a decent price last minute when our other pre-booked hotel couldn't find our reservations. Close to shops, stores, even a nice hiking trail and river access just 5-10 min away. Clean and heated indoor pool. The front desk staff was nice enough, the breakfast host/attendant should probably ditch the attitude or the notion that people are inconveniencing her by participating in breakfast.Rooms: 8/10 for cleanliness7/10 for size8/10 for value

Kind of baffling to me that the reviews for this place aren't worse. We arrived at the hotel and were placed in room 101. The smell of animal urine nearly knocked me over upon entering, we promptly requested a different room. Reassigned to room 303, we walked in and it smelled like someone had been smoking cigarettes in there for the last week. We had to leave the window open airing it out all night to survive the cigarette stench in the room. Front desk guy was pleasant and let me know that room 101 was not a pet room, and that this is a non smoking hotel. I've stayed at plenty of 2 star hotels, our experience here was by far the worst. If we hadn't checked in at midnight completely exhausted, we would have just left and paid to stay at a completely different hotel. I don't leave bad reviews lightly, to say this one is deserved would be the understatement of the century. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Small rooms and a long way from the interstate. If you're just doing an overnight while traveling down. I-90, you may want to look for a place closer to the highway. The traffic both in the afternoon and in the morning to and from the interstate kind of sucked. The room was pleasant but small. I felt like I was staying in a European hotel!

This is a decent hotel but it needs to address a few things. The carpet, while vacuumed, was clearly old, dated, and very dingy (at a minimum, it should steam cleaned). The paint is likewise old and dated. Room was clean but had a strange chemical smell, I'm guessing a disinfectant, but have never come across like this.
