I've had Progressive for a number of years for my home owners insurance. In the 22 years I have lived in my house I filed 3 claims: 1 for wind damage to my roof when high winds blew a tree over and it punched a hole in the roof, 1 for a break-in and theft occurring at my rented storage unit, and the most recent for hail damage to the siding of the house. For the first one they only paid me little over $600 for a new roof that cost $6000. For the break-in and theft I lost a brand new Oxy Acetylene welder kit, complete with tanks and a brand new mig welder complete with Argon gas cylinder and a few other tools. What I was reimbursed wouldn't even pay for a new welder. The last one, the side of my house looked like Swiss cheese after a bad hail storm. The reimbursement was doesn't even come close to what it's going to cost for new siding. I was informed today that because of my latest claim they're not going to renew my policy. Isn't the whole idea of having insurance for cases like this? So I've had 3 claims in 22 years and they decided to bail on me. Try finding a decent insurance company if you can. They all just seem to be interested in taking your money and competing to see which company comes up with the stupidest and most obnoxious commercials. I don't want a company that's going to bail on me, I want one that's going to stick with me, and Progressive isn't it.

This is easily the most terrible insurance company I've ever had to deal with. Every month, I have to call and sit on hold just to get a copy of my receipt for my monthly payment. Then its several minutes of being on hold before they tell me to check under documents, where I've already checked, because they have to do something on their end to make it appear there. And as if that's not bad enough, then I have to sit through them trying to up-sell me to bundle my car insurance. I have to say no multiple times and then eventually just hang up on them because they won't take know for an answer. I hate the 12th of every month because that's when I get charged and I know I'm going to have to call them and go through this BS process all over again.I can go to a local coffee shop and get a receipt emailed to me for a three dollar cup of coffee, but a big name insurance company is too inept to be able to manage it.I can't wait for this six month policy to be up so I can go to another company. I don't recommend Progressive insurance to anyone. In fact, when they come up on my Facebook ads, there are ALWAYS angry-face reactions and a litany of angry complaints in the comments.Progressive is terrible. Save yourself the frustration and get your insurance elsewhere.

I am so sorry I left Geico. After 2 and 1/2 years with Progressive, they can't withdraw automatic payments from my debit card. I got a new card, same exact company and everything. And Progressive said they don't know why. My TMobile and other utilities come out of it just fine.So this makes my rates go up significantly. AND she said I could call in and pay. ?. But they allow the kind of card I have, she said there is no one else to talk to and no way to find out.And that's it. I'm getting rid of Progressive either Tonight or tomorrow.I'm done with them.
