The manager here is rude to surrounding business employees. Extremely long winded and unprofessional.

Would avoid this bank, if possible. It’s pretty clear that they neither value nor want your business. Unable to perform baking services (or even open an account to get these basic banking services) even though I’ve been a loyal loan holder. There’s other great options in Missoula that want and appreciate your business.

Bank of America directs you to Opportunity Bank in a google search for BOA in Montana. When I called to ask if Opportunity Bank was affiliated with BOA Stacy was really rude and sounded completely exasperated to even talk to me. If you do not want BOA calls then best figure that out with google and BOA.

The best banking experience I have ever had. I'm a small business owner and have been told "no" to by several banks. Opportunity took the time to learn about me and my business and gave me the opportunities at loans that have now turned into a large commercial loan for a new office space as well as a larger residential loan to build our dream home for my family. I could not be happier. You have to give them a try if you want any kind of a loan.

First the teller didn't know the procedure for a person trying to collect on a bounced check written to my business, which is understandable I guess, but instead of asking her manager how to handle the situation she sent me on my way with the wrong information. After an hour of leg work I returned to have Opportunity Bank issue me a cashier's check only to find out that they were going to charge me $5 to issue said check. That's right, I had to pay $5 in order to receive money that was owed to me in the first place. Not only do they ding their own customer for bouncing a check but they ding the person trying to collect the money. We've been in business for over thirty years and have dealt with many bounced checks from many different banks, we've never been charged anything for an issued check until this Opportunity Bank. Just plain bad business.

Lost Opportunity Bank: I was with Sterling Bank prior to the American Federal to Opportunity Bank transition. Sterling Bank was awesome! Opportunity Bank is the most inept financial organization I have ever worked with. At first, I was simply annoyed. It would take my employees 20-30 minutes to cash a pay check and a deposit would take 15 or so minutes because of all the paperwork the teller needed to fill out. Then the online banking system was "updated" and all the useful business features like ACH transfers, etc. went away. They became a fee based service. What sent me over the edge was when my business needed to purchase some new equipment for an expansion. April Marsh told me it would not be a problem since I was an "established" customer of years. After months of telling me that the loan docs were waiting for the lending VP's signature on his desk, she told me that I should go elsewhere because I was so frustrated with the process. I then was hit with a $10k tax bill after taking April's advice on our business taxes to make them "SBA compliant". After all of this, I still was stuck unable to expand. Big Sky Western Bank had my loan funded within 10 days of talking to them. It was obvious who really wanted my business. Now I am stuck in circles with Opportunity Bank because they will not close my accounts with them. They keep adding fees and then saying I can't close the account until the fees are paid. But by the time I get the letter regarding the fees, more have built up. Maybe they should change their name to Bank of Hotel California. You can check out, but you can never leave. Their continued incompetence is absolutely mind blowing!

No longer Sterling Bank, it's now "Opportunity Bank". If you're of moderate income expect to be treated as if you are beneath their feet. When I opened my account there, they made sure to make me feel like they were doing me a favor. So, yes I am changing banks!
