Thank you Montana Transfer for getting my table to me in time for Thanksgiving! The shipping details I had were vague. They said my table was in Montana 2 days before Thanksgiving. I called Montana Transfer. They said they had not yet received but would keep an eye out for it and do there best to get it to me if they could. I called the next day, the day before Thanksgiving, at noon. They had just received and would be able to deliver it! The gentleman that came were very nice, professional, and careful with the table. They didn't have to deliver that afternoon but did! I would recommend them!!

Note: we had our furniture crated for a cross-country move so it would arrive in less time than being placed into a large moving truck. The Good: Movers showed up on time. All boxes accounted for. The Bad: 1) Although 2 employees were notified that we needed 3 items disassembled, movers didn't have a screwdriver or tool kit with them. They said they'd do it when they crated everything back at MT Transfer & Storage, but didn't. 2) Several large pieces (bedroom dresser & chest, TV cabinet (with electronics boxed & stored inside) were placed on their sides in the crate (it was obvious looking at how the contents shifted). 3) Many items damaged: large gouges into wood furniture; couch back seams frayed; one side of a desk was pulled off (because it was not taken apart); 7" shard of glass broken off from full length mirror; plus many minor scratches & nicks. We're in our 70s & 80s so were not up to driving a Uhaul 2400 miles, towing a car behind, but this would have been a better alternative.

One of the most frustrating experiences of recent memory. They held onto a shipment for over two weeks without delivering to my house. It was a weeks long (as in more than one) process dealing with them on the phone to get any information or answer any questions.

Great customer service from start to finish. Knowledgeable and friendly personnel. Very clean truck and all the pads, etc. Have not had delivery yet but know from the reports of several friends that all will be safely delivered on time. Highly recommend

Ok, I taking back my bad review but still not a 5 because I have had to track my order myself. Chris at Mt. Transfer explained the mix up with the switch over. Now I understand the frustration also.

Our driver left with our stuff in Montana, even though he could not fit it all in his truck on initial pickup. The driver was then stopped near St Louis and forced to remove a portion of our load and leave it with another carrier. We had to call this random carrier ourselves only to find out that the Local Rep in Montana had yet to find a company to get it to Jacksonville. The communication was very poor and they local shop in Missoula - MT Transfer Co - did not contact us for 2 more days after this happened. They continued to not be proactive and we had to call them daily to get updates about our delivery. It arrived 2 weeks after our initial delivery, the items were not in great condition and the North American crew did not rebuild some items they broke down in MT and said they would rebuild. There were also a couple broken items. After the local company from St Louis got our goods to Jacksonville, MT Transfer Co never even called to see how it went. In fact, they never provided any update on the 2nd part of the delivery or anything. Extremely poor communication. The sales rep we were working with promised us he was speaking to corporate about getting a refund/compensation for our troubles, but he never even tried to call us back. I called the office in MT after the final delivery was made, and the front office lady, who was very curt and rude throughout this entire process, said the rep we had been dealing with would call me back. Still have never gotten that call to this day. This is why I am leaving this review. Also, the estimate turned out to be majorly under and the driver told us the rep who visited told the driver we would be eliminating everything in our storage unit, which was not true. So it ended up costing $1300 more than the estimate. Just pure unprofessionalism all around. Extremely disappointed and costly.

Marc was the worst liar ever. We had numerous boxes of our own and Marc said he would give us credit for them. NEVER HAPPENED. Our move was the first one in 30 years and our belongings were totally trashed-smashed scraped dented and tossed. Van was terrible. No inside lights. Lights on truck were faulty.

I recently learned why our realtor ONLY recommends Montana Transfer Co. to his clients. We know that it's wise to never move from one home to another during the middle of a Montana winter. Unfortunately, we had to relocate in mid-January and all three days of our move were during the highest levels of snowfall so far this winter. We were incredibly grateful for the positive attitudes, friendliness, humor, efficiency, and extra effort shown by every member of the team that loaded and unloaded our belongs. They took extra care to minimize the amount of snow that they tracked into the home and truck. I highly recommend Montana Transfer for your next moving "adventure".

Arrived on time. Worked steadily. Very respectful of our belongings and our space. Labeled boxes well.

Experience was awful. Charges were 1.5 times the estimate and it took 34 days for our stuff to arrive, 18 days after the end of the delivery window in the contract. On top of that, they told us on Sept 3rd our stuff was on the way with an arrival date of 9/13. On 9/10 they admitted our stuff had not actually left Missoula and was still in their warehouse. They gave us a price for packing everything. We asked what happened if we did some of the packing. We went to work, packing all our books and clothes...somewhere north of 30 small boxes that we purchased. No savings to be seen anywhere.

Late pick-up, delayed delivery, broken items, and over $2,500 more than quoted to move me from Billings to SC. They do not care if or when you receive your belongings; they just want to get paid. Do whatever you have to—even if it means loading yourself and renting a U-Haul—to avoid using this place for your move!

Delays, missing boxes, damaged furniture , quoted low price, then wound up having to pay $3,000.00+ more … this move was stressful enough for me without all the BS I had deal with … Don’t use this company…I should have done more research …Lesson learned … BE AWARE !!!

Total disaster. Do not use these people. Delivery window was 9/7/21 to 9/16/21. On 9/3 they sad the truck would arrive 9/13 and tried to get me to pay a charge bassicly 1.5 times the estimate. Payment wasn't due until arrival. Jarret told me he was trying to get in touch with the driver so I could witness the load being weighed. Then on 9/10, the day of our closing in VT, Jarrett told us for the first time there was no driver, our stuff wasn't arriving on the 13th and in fact was still in their warehouse in Missoula where it sits today, 9/22. Nothing they told us from 9/3 until 9/10 was consistent with what was really happening. I am 70 years old. My wife is disabled. We chose "professional movers" because we felt this move would be more than we could handle. What we found was anything but professionalism. Renting a uhaul would have been way easier and cheaper than dealing these folks.

Montana Transfer was responsible for examining my contents and estimating the weight and cost to move my belongings. I asked to have a representative come to the house to examine my possessions. I even suggested that he lift several of the trunks that contained tools to make sure his estimate was correct. When he gave me an estimate, I asked how I could be assured that it was correct. He said that he had been in the business for years and that he'd never been off by more than 10%. The estimate was approximately $8,000. When they called to get my credit card info. prior to delivery in Oregon, MT Transfer asked for over $12,000! I was told they would not delivery my belongings until I paid the entire bill. Needless to say, I will NOT recommend MT Transfer to anyone!
