I took a long hiatus from the gym because life got crazy and I finally made it back one night recently (about a year later). I was greeted with cheers and lots of encouragement and support from old & new friends, and am so happy to be back. The workouts are tough, but very effective, and the trainers are excellent at helping you make helpful adjustments for skill level, physical ability, and injury. And the people really are the best. Where else can you go where people who've already finished a for-time workout will come back and do it again so you're not the last one and finishing alone?! I can't say enough good things. I love the MBG Missoula community!

Great environment to push yourself; the workouts are crafted so you don't have to. Workout rely on natural based motion. Love this gym.

My "gym" has always been the outdoors, but MBG is truly something different than your run-o-the-mill treadmill graveyard. I signed up for the Holiday 60-Day Bootcamp, and I've sweat through more kettle bells and lunges than I would ever do by myself. When I am skiing, running, and climbing, I promise you, I feel stronger. You will too!

Best way to get in shape. You will work hard. You will sweat. You will hurt. You will have fun. You will meet great people. YOU WILL GET STRONG. That's what it's all about. I love the gym and will keep going for a long time!

The Monkey Bar Gym has changed my life! I have always been an active person but I'm in the best shape of my life and it's amazing! The supportive trainers and members as well as the friendly atmosphere make this the best gym I've ever joined!

I haven't enjoyed working out this much since I rowed in college. It's great just being able to show up and know that you'll get a killer workout with a great group of people! The workouts are tailored so that you'll continue to see improvement, whatever level you are at. It is inspiring to see how far people have come in the program!

I joined the gym for the 2-month "Challenge". It's aptly named. The only parts that weren't challenging were working up a sweat and worrying about how to do it. Without having to plan ahead I could show up, get my heart rate up, push my limits, and be done in an hour. Like anything new, it comes with it's own lingo. I soon learned the difference between 'divebombers' and 'supermans' and was humbled by how much a jumprope could trip me up. My biggest worry in joining a class-style class was that everyone else would know how to do the workouts and as the newbie I would feel out of shape and out of place. I didn't feel that way mainly because the other members were very nice and cooperative. I would definitely recommend this gym. As a busy Dad, it was the best way to get a condensed workout without sacrificing the large amount of time that many other regimens require. I left each workout feeling great and my blood pressure went down. I will say that aside from the workouts, the cost also kind of got my heart racing ($250 for the two months). I wish there were more accommodating changing rooms (lockers, benches) and a way to shower. Showering is just so basic a gym standard. Because the building was closed after the workout I felt a bit rushed to get out. It would be nice to be able to stay and maybe do some stretching or add some exercises, or shower if that was an option. For me, the convenience of the workout was overshadowed by the inconvenience of the location and available times. Often I couldn't leave work early enough to make the noon class. On those days, I wish there would of been a way to come at other times (key cards?) and individually complete the day's workout that is written on the board. My final suggestion deals with music. It seemed like the music was an afterthought that often fell short. A gym that solely focuses on class workouts should have an amazing playlist to keep people motivated. All in all I was satisfied, and I hope more people join so that maybe the cost can come down a bit.

I went to the Monkey Bar gym on Monday and it was great. The small class size meant you got individual attention and Tynille is a great trainer. It was relaxed and positive. It was one of the best workouts I've had in a long time. It's all about working with you body weight, getting your heart rate up. It's different than other gyms. But in a good way.
