Go here, as long as you aren't a woman. I came in telling them I had a upper radiator hose leak and I wanted an estimate on replacement. These idiots gave me a 800 dollar quote and tried to explain to me I also needed a lower hose (because it's soft) but this was not mentioned at two other shops I took it too. I told them to take off the lower hose charge since it was not necessary. They gave me a new quote of $612 but kept the labor charge of 500 bucks the same. I don't know about you but if changing an upper house is 500 in labor (industry standard rates per hour range from $75-$130, I'm sure they pay they're mechanics under 15 per hour though) that means they need FIVE HOURS to change out a upper radiator hose. I could ask a toddler to watch a YouTube video and change it out faster. Here's a photo of their estimate and another shops. Tirerama laughed when I showed them and said it was typical of this Midas.

Exceptional service & honest people.They had an opportunity to change put a big part that would have been about $1100.After they started they realized that part was not broken & worked correctly.Had a bunch of work done & I was so happy to find a good, honest mechanic.Defiantly coming back here when needed.Great job team. I've only ever received fast, friendly, and honest service. Most recently the staff even attached a tow hitch for us, which several local shops refused because it wasn't "a big enough job." I'd recommend Midas to anyone in the Missoula area.

I came here when I was new to the area and didn't know which mechanic would be the best fit for me. I had driven here from the east coast and my exhaust system was all jacked up. After reading the reviews I thought they seemed reliable so I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did! They were kind, personable, and explained everything in great detail (and sometimes more than once haha). Best of all, they didn't try to take advantage of me due to my gender and lack of car knowledge (yes this definitely has happened to me before!!) They have checked in with me a few times to make sure my car is still running well. They obviously care about their customers and are my go-to from now on!Services: Auto exhaust system repair

Good experience start to finish. They got me in quickly. Listened to my concerns and thoughts with being condescending. Found more problems than I expected. Made sure I was ok with what needed to be done and with the expected cost. Took my vehicle in for an oil change and general inspection, prior to a long road trip. There were several opportunities for them to do unneeded repairs, which they didn't exploit. I arrived at opening time and was out in about an hour. Very fair price for oil change and topping off trans fluid.Service: Oil change

Midas in Missoula is the only mechanic I have taken my vehicles to in my 10 years of driving. They are honest and welcoming. Stan and Brenda are extremely professional and knowledgeable. Great service, every time!

Update to my review from two weeks ago. I went to Midas because they could get me in for an alignment before a trip I was taking. It turned into a bearing replacement before they said they would do the alignment and charged me $1200 for the replacement and alignment. I found out afterwards that is twice as much as what others in the area charge for that service. My truck still didn't feel right and I took it to another mechanic and they actually aligned it and could provide the before and after paperwork, something Midas didn't. It now confirms my suspicions that the bearing replacement wasn't needed and they took advantage of a minority woman all for the sake of lining their pockets. Take your hard earned money to an honest business that respects everyone.
