I just love this workout and the Instructor, Kate! Still hard for me to explain to my friends what exactly Gyrotonic's is but it's done wonders for my joints, muscles and lengthening my body. I guess the best way to describe it is that it is similar to pilates in that you use a machine that's made of wood and has lots of pulleys. But the movements are more similar to dancing. And if I'm not mistaken this form of exercise was created for dancers, by dancers. I typically will go back-and-forth and will do pilates for a few months, then switch to gyrotonic. I feel like by changing my workout regularly I'm constantly changing which muscles I workout. The studio is easily accessible, lots of parking ava and located on Higgins above the Habitat Floral Studio.
