Was able to get an appointment quickly, all of the staff we interacted with- Front desk, vet tech and Vet were wonderful. Took the time to carefully answer all of our questions, and were great with our 2 year old corgi. We moved here a couple of years ago, and finding a new Vet is never fun, we are super happy this was the 2nd place in Missoula we tried!

They are more concerned with making money than actually helping our pets. Our cat has been in 5 times and we have spent over $1,500 for them to tell us each time they have no idea what could be wrong. They performed blood work, x-rays, and an ultrasound all to call and give us a half hour long lecture about why they need to perform a biopsy now. When we tried to clarify or ask questions we were spoken over repeatedly. After 5 visits and $1,500 down the drain, still no answers. And now they're saying they will need to do a biopsy but after reading previous reviews I think it's in our best interest to find a different vet.

My dogs have been patients here for years and I have had decent experiences until now. I brought my senior GSD in a few weeks ago when she randomly had lesions pop up all over her skin overnight. We did lots of research about what was going on with her, as it seemed Dr. Welch had no leads, other than an upper ear infection and a "scratched eye." She then ordered x-rays and blood work which all came back clear. We brought up autoimmune disorders and suddenly Dr. Welch agreed. She then ordered multiple skin biopsies. One biopsy resulted in a dime sized hole in our dogs ear. Nothing was mentioned of it until we called multiple times and stated something was wrong with the biopsy wound. (See photo!!!) After the suture removal on the ear, Dr Welch laughed and said "it looks like she might have a pierced ear now." She also stated she had NO IDEA the biopsy SHE performed had resulted in the huge hole. She also started our dog on steroids and a pain killer, neither of which side effects were even mentioned. In the last 2 weeks since beginning the steroid, we noticed SIGNIFICANT muscle deterioration in our dog. This was brought up to Dr. welch and she offered no help or further information other than it's a possible side effect. We tried to contact the owners, and finally after 5 days we got in touch with Dr. Mary Prince. She was EXTREMELY unprofessional and talked over us as we tried to voice our concerns. She also said that we were lying and mistaken about what Dr. Welch had said and done over the past few weeks. This clinic has proven to be BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL. They truly do not seem to care about anything other than pushing customers through and making money. We expected SO MUCH MORE from them at a time where we are so worried about our dogs overall health. Truly disappointing service and care from

Very kind and compassionate staff and doctors. They are always very open and upfront about any sort of costs and are always gentle with my girl. The vet listened to me and made me feel heard. I would definitely recommend them and will continue to use this as her primary vet.Editing to add that I brought my other dogs here as well. Dr. Welch is the best. The three dogs I bring to see her have always been comfortable and calm. Even with uncomfortable procedures or tests she is always kind and gentle.

Staff was very friendly and professional. Appreciated the short timeframe for an appointment for my new pup. Dr. Bauer was very gentle and kind with my pup and took time to answer my questions.

We love Four Paws Veterinary Clinic. We took our dog there. All the staff are friendly and kind. They squeezed us in multiple times of crisis. We mostly had Dr. Bauer. He provided exceptional professional and loving care to our pet. He was kind, communicated well, provided excellent advice, and made an effort to minimize procedures/costs. We highly recommend Four Paws.

My dog has been going to 4 paws since we got him. He just had his 2nd lump removal. Up until today I would say the service has been good to very good. Today was a different story. Dr prince , on a post op check gave me a lecture she felt I needed. She also repeted herself 4 times in a row. I told her I hear you. And I tried to stay respectful, she then went into a circular dialogue of I am just trying to emphasize... I again said I hear you. Then I added you haveemphasized enough. That is poor bedside manor. Lectures rarely work on most folks. I told her I could have called x2 in the middle of the night. My dog was not having good pain control. There isn't a on call vet there. She said I could call the ER vet... well when it's a fresh surgery, they don't kown my dog, so they would say to come in. That is a no brainer. It wasn't an emergency. It was poor pain control. With no off hours on-call, and their answer is go to the ER....In my opinion, not good form. My dog is worth every penny of an emergency visit.... when it is an emergency.

This has been my vet for 3+ years; I switched after another Missoula veterinary team treated my older pug with an obvious lack of concern. I'm glad I did! With very few exceptions, the Four Paws team is overwhelmingly friendly and compassionate. Drs. Bauer and Welch are smart and genuinely engaged in keeping my two dogs and one cat healthy. The assistants and techs make sure to answer all my questions and give me all the info I need, and never seem annoyed when I need them to clarify things. Everyone is so positive and helpful, in fact, that my pugs both LOVE coming here. My dog had dental surgery once and when I called to check on her, the assistant said, "I can tell you for a fact that she's doing just fine, because she's on my lap right now." :) I highly recommend Four Paws.

We have been going to Four Paw for almost 5 years. My dog, Muñeca (moon~ye~caw), is a rescue who is very nervous and scared. Each visit, all staff are so patient and caring, even at times when it takes a while for my dog to calm down and be checked out. Would recommend 4~paws to everyone, the best veterinary clinic in Missoula
