This is a very convenient place to get gas and emergency groceries without driving all the way into town. The restraunt has excellent meals, and the workers are friendly.

For our daughter’s birthday and Father’s Day we decided to try The Trough. The food was very good and well presented. The wait staff was friendly and very helpful. My husband’s order came with some strawberry jam that was absolutely the best strawberry jam I have ever had! A hot biscuit, some butter and that jam is totally worth going back for.

Do not eat here!!
I have never been more disrespected by an employee!! They push to go orders behind any new inhouse orders and will make you wait over an hour so they can make food for the new customers before you. They are so rude, and I will never give this business a single dollar.

We got there at 6:40 pm. Checked in as instructed and went to sit on the patio. Received menus and ordered an adult beverage which arrived promptly.My husband asked for decaf coffee and was told that they had already turned the coffee maker off. After a while, someone came to take our order, asking if we were planning to order food. I ordered the mac & cheese and pulled pork, and my husband the pulled pork sandwich. Salad and soup came out shortly and were good. When our main entree came out, the pork was swimming in barbeque sauce. I was expecting no sauce and my husband's sandwich was much more saucy than typical. I hate barbeque sauce and was very disappointed. When I mentioned it to the waitress, she offered no options. So it was pretty expensive mac and cheese.

Used to live right down clements in my first apartment when this was Dales Dairy. Good memories. Still a great little neighborhood store.

I have been to the Trough many times, and am tired of the very inconsistent level of food quality. Last time I had the California Chicken sandwich for lunch. The chicken was so tough, I could hardly cut it with a knife, much less chew it. I did not say anything to the waiter, as I did not want to offend the friend that was treating me to lunch, but I decided that it will be a long time, if ever, before I return to the Trough.

Love this lil store, just wish for well marked parking, when busy (always) there's no parking. I've had to idle while waiting for parking. Worth it but annoying

Love this place. They treat me like I'm special. Help is always friendly. Small store is appreciated so much, close to home and well stocked.
