Had to get a rabies vaccine for our cat before heading to Canada. Called just about every clinic in Missoula! Animal Clinic was the only clinic that could fit us in same day. We were very appreciative of their understanding of our need (as we were only passing through town). They were even kind enough to print a document for us (unrelated the purpose of our visit).

Max can be a little high-strung. The staff did an excellent job of accommodating his distrust of men. Thy also information on where I can take him to learn to adjust his behavior.

Ok, first off, these guys have been under construction for like over a year. This makes it difficult for the customers and the animals.I was pleased with the service up until our last visit. I took my elderly dog, Bailey, in for treatment due to her increasing seizure frequency. The vet prescribed her two pretty hardcore drugs (phenobarbital, hydrocodone) as a response to these seizures (and a cough she had). These drugs made my dog very sick and she had multiple seizures per day + plus great lethargy once she was put on the medication, as opposed to a just a few instances before these meds. I called the vet and he said to keep her on it so she could develop a tolerance to the medication. After just a few short days I realized how ridiculous this was, as she was much worse on this medication and was continually getting worse. I should have challenged the vet and got a second opinion elsewhere before agreeing to these meds; I knew in my gut it might be a bad idea to put her on two intense drugs simultaneously like that.Bailey was euthanized a week later after visiting this vet due to her intense decline that was seemingly caused by these drugs.It was becoming obvious to us even before this visit that Bailey being euthanized was an inevitability due to her advanced age and the problems she had. However, pumping her full of drugs instead of finding alternative solutions made her decline much faster than she would have not being on them. This vet was also focused on other issues seemingly unrelated, such as her heart size (though that may have been associated with the cough). In the future, I hope this vet doesn't resort to intense drugs for the initial treatment (or I will stick with only one doctor - Bailey saw 3), but I understand that this is unfortunately how our medical system(s) works (for humans and animals): drugs first ask questions later.If I have a pet in the future, I will definitely think twice before accepting treatment like this.I am thankful for the service that Animal Clinic has done in the past, but I don't think I could ever give them my business again.

They did a wonderful job on our dogs ear,she went in with a bacterial infection gave her meds and a few days later had her back to flush the ear out.today her balance is back she can shake her head with no problems she is finishing up her meds..great place
