Drs. Marlie Johnson & Cathy Miksell are the two finest veterinarians in Montana. Both are the most caring, compassionate, & technically skilled DVMs a pet’s family could ever hope for. Above and beyond is the 1st thought that comes to mind when thinking about these two amazing women veterinarians! For example, instead of having us hold our autistic senior dog & taking the stitches out, Dr. Marlie waited for her to walk by in the examining room & would lovingly pet her & remove one stitch at a time, letting our dog do it in a way that wasn't threatening, but instead involved love & attention. Dr. Cathy also cared for one of our seniors, who was very, ill in the same way that you knew she would do for her own doggo. Amazing & Wonderful, World Class DVMs!

My vet, Dr. Marlie Johnson, has recently moved to Ancare and I couldn't be happier! The staff made the transition of vet records easy and have been very responsive with call backs and scheduling. I have known Dr. Cathy Mikesell for years and am beyond excited to be patronizing this clinic and continuing my pets' veterinary care with Marlie!

I recently relocated, thus a new vet, and still felt compelled to write a review: Dr. Mikesell is the most compassionate and thoughtful veterinarian I’ve ever encountered, and I’ve worked with many. She stays up to date on the newest research and shows overabundant compassion to both the pets and their people. I’ve never met another veterinarian as wonderful as her and doubt I ever will. Anyone in the area that doesn’t have Mikesell in their corner for their pet’s health and wellbeing is sincerely missing out.

Ive been taking my dogs here for about two years. First of all, the woman at the front desk is insanely rude and inconsiderate. She talks to people like they are idiots and she wouldn’t lift a finger to help you or your pet. The only reason we stayed is because the veterinarian was kind and really good with our pit bull. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, we brought our shih tzu in for an eye check (he has glaucoma and needs regular pressure checks). The vet comes out with a human eye pressure device and starts poking at him. She said herself its hard to use on dogs because you have to try not to poke them in the eye. Long story short, he ends up with ulcers (cuts) on both of his eyes, perfectly centered exactly where she was taking pressures. She tells us he needs one eye removed and that she can do the surgery. A few days go by and I call the office because I have had ZERO followup, and it turns out the vet is now on vacation for a week. We saw the stand-in vet, who told us there is no way that office would perform the surgery he needs. Thankfully, we ended up taking him to Spokane and got everything fixed right up, but this vet cost us hundreds of dollars, hurt my dog, and couldn’t even help him after. Stay away.

Best in Missoula. Really wish I'd found them sooner. The vets, vet techs, and office folks are all great.

I LOVE the vets and staff at this clinic. We put one of dogs down here and they went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable outside when we did it. The main issue we have with them is the front desk person Dione. She is atrocious. She always has an attitude for no reason. When I had a couple of questions she encouraged me to search for help at another vet instead of providing any assistance. Shes makes it really hard to want to continue going to Ancare.

Every animal and person that come to AnCare are treated like family. The Vets and the Vet assistants really know what they are are doing, and are caring, towards the welfare of each dog, cat, or other. They listen to your concerns, and do a thorough exam. The office staff are helpful, and caring as well. People know their animals will be taken care of, and you can feel confident in all the staff. Animals are family, and AnCare is where you want to be, with any concerns you may have for your pet. AnCare is well established in Msla, and though some people have retired, the ones that came have filled the shoes and believe in the health of your pet, and you can feel confident in them. All our animals are important, and in Montana we have many excellent Vets, and Animal hospitals to take care of the ones we hold dear. We know what animals do for each of us,a love and bond like no other, so take a breath and make a few new friends. Dr Sandy, and her excellent staff wanted to make sure their patients would be treated well, and the care would go on, the same as it has for years, and I think you will be happy with the result. No job, to big, to small, to old. Love, knows no boundaries.
