This bank has very little concept of proper customer service, they won't help you unless you pretend to be smiles, sunshine, and roses at their lack of proper help as if having to call everytime you need to use your debit card AT ALL is something to be HAPPY about. AND OF COURSE the reason you have to call every time you need to use it? THEY SHUT IT OFF "why?" We all may be asking, did they shut it off? Because "you can only have 2 cards active at s time and you have 3" SOME CONTEXT: My mom left her debit card in the bank atm and got a call from them saying they had found it, this is her first card now deemed "lost/stolen", they're going to replace it, sweet, okay cool, we get the temporary card, the second card, wait the several HOURS needed before being able to activate said temporary card, it works fine. We get the third card in the mail, it works fine sort of at first, then we need start calling every time we need to use it. When finally it stops working all together, we call customer service, they say the new card had been SHUT OFF? But WHY? it's brand spanking new! My mom is frustrated because of course, who wouldn't having to go back, make the same phone call, and trying to fix the same issue over and over and over only for them to then give us ANOTHER temporary card to try to then get ANOTHER permanent card, only to learn that the only reason we couldn't use the new one we just got was because they haven't deactivated the card they themselves deemed lost/stolen. They will dick you around without proper communication and when you finally snap at them you're the problem because how dare you not pretend like them. They won't help you.

Hands down the worst bank in the United States.Every single first interstate bank is packed with crooks and thieves. If you bank here I hope you like fees. Because this place has a fee for EVERYTHING .This place will rob you blind.

Been going downhill for awhile now, just bottomed out!! Wow, horrible service, horrible experience. Tellers who can't count, or know what a deposit slip is! Not kidding, just terrible place.

Haylee and the other customer service staff at the Miles City branch have been absolutely wonderful at helping us change the signers on a commercial account. Every request is answered immediately and a solution is found. First Interstate Bank is slow actually processing changes as far as their software, which is slower than expected. For instance a Bill Pay check doesn't go out for almost a week. Things I expected to be automatic, are slower than expected for the bank to implement, withing their computer system. Haylee and the others customer service makes up for it.

I had an excellent experience with this bank, and the staff here. I was surprised to find that another local bank did not offer personal loans, and wouldn't even return a call. I was able to get the loan I wanted through First Interstate, with excellent customer service and communication throughout.

Nothing like fraudulent charges to allow this bank to get rich with overdraft fees. Will never bank here again and strongly suggest everyone of thier customers to find a different bank.

I was on a mission to consolidate our vehicle, camper, and house loans into one location; we were able to do this with little to no issues at First Interstate.First off, we can make principal only payments on our loans here, which is big for me considering the credit union I worked at and that held all of our loans prior would not let us make extra principal only payments. Theresa (from the Billings branch) was amazing and incredibly helpful with our home buying process, as this was the first time my husband and I had ever done this specific type of loan. Krista dealt with us for two loans in a matter of 2 months and was incredibly fast and smooth with the process. After working in a financial institution for 3 years and moving everything from there to First Interstate, I can say that I wish I had gone through First Interstate from the start.
