About Travelers' Rest State Park

This National Historic Landmark is the only archeologically confirmed Lewis and Clark campsite in the nation. Used by the Bitterroot Salish for thousands of years, the park also has a visitor center, museum and interpreters year round. VISITOR CENTER Visitor Center/Museum open Wednesday - Sunday 10:00am to 4:00pm. Visitor Center closed Monday & Tuesday. Please note that the park itself is open from 9 to 5 daily. The Park and Visitor Center are Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
