Can't trust a place that has employees (Kiya Stringfellow) that steals counterfeit money from their cash vault and uses it for their own personal gain. Specifically November 13th, 2023 Kiya took money from this branch and used it Alberston's grocery store. Its super ridiculous!

I don’t do my primary banking here but had an account that I used for petty cash each month for the little expenses around town. Never really kept much in it, just put some cash in each month as a budget and would spend it. Apparently I had a monthly subscription that came out that overdrew the account by $13. They had my phone and e-mail on file, said they tried contacting me once, and then they just decided to close my account after 33 days. Went to use my debit card the next month and it was just closed. I was out of town and called them, asked them to just reactivate the account and I’d transfer some money back in and pay the $13, of course, but they said I’d have to come back in and open a brand new account in person. The woman on the phone spoke down to me like I was poor and not worth their time. The world has changed; banking has changed; and yet these institutions, even these regional banks with large lavish buildings financed with our dollars, just don’t seem to care, evolve, and act like you’re lucky to even have an account with them. Plenty of other options and glad I didn’t put all my money into this one.

Great customer service. Bad policies. Hold deposits 24 hours longer than other banks before making them available. Including government and payroll deposits. Transfers aren't instant they take an average of 2 days longer than other banks to hit your account.

Purchased a camper with a lien attached to it and met the previous owner at first interstate where we paid off the lien with my cashiers check. Was then notified by First Interstate it would take up to 6 weeks for the previous owner to receive the lien release form and it could not be issued any sooner. Now I have a camper that I cannot register because of the lien attachment even though it was paid off weeks ago. The women working at town registration were astounded the form wasn’t issued on the spot when the lien was paid off and even more at the 6 week turnaround time. When I asked First Interstate how is this the procedure since it must happen all the time they had no answers. I won’t be banking here any time soon.

10/10 recommend Karen Greathouse at First Interstate as a lender. She helped me through the process of buying my first home and was incredibly responsive and capable at every turn.

We have banked with FIB for almost 25 years. The friendly customer service, free checking, and lack of any issues have kept us here, even when life has taken us to different states. It’s great to have a trustworthy hometown bank that you can rely on.

Tried to get loan for car repairs. I am a hard working father and husband. Banked with them over 5 years even. I was basically told I needed to have a loan to get a loan. This bank does not support local community. As a low risk loan with proof in past 4yrs on statements I could easily make the payments and even pay off early I find it ridiculous that there is no way for struggling families to get help. Definitely not a friend of local community

One of the worst banks I've ever dealt with during my 35 years of banking. Big on collecting fees and uncaring and worthless when dealing with problems- even if a bank error or fault has been made. Moving my account ASAP.

I had been a customer for over 15 years. This institution did a very curious maneuver with my data that didn't have a great ending for me. The customer service was terrible and they were so rude. I had an issue with USAA and their customer service puts this 'local bank' to shame. Switching banks! And watch out for this one
