I was in Kalispell for a week to attend a quilt retreat. I had just adopted a rescue dog from Texas and she has severe separation anxiety. I was prepared to cancel my classes if I couldn’t find dog day care for her.

My dog loves daycare! He loves playing with other dogs and having fun. The first day I came in for a meet and greet the owner seemed to think it was OK to drag my dog around in his leash because he didn't wanna go with her after hearing her screaming at the dogs behind the closed door. I don't like that there are no webcams and I didn't like the yelling. My dog likes to play and seems to enjoy his time here so I'm giving them a chance. We've been going for a couple weeks now and so far they seem friendly and my dog is eager to go play once we turn down the drive. They only accept cash or check tho so I have to keep an extra log book for daycare.

The owner was friendly, and I had the chance to observe her doing a training with another customer while I was waiting to have my dog introduced. She seemed good at training people to train their dogs, so I had high hopes. She tested my dog (who has been to and enjoyed dog daycare before) with two other dogs, gave her a pass, and brought her back to the area where the other dogs are, which you are unable to see. Before she was taken back, I stood and visited with the owner and one other employee for about 10-15 minutes, assuming there was someone else working, who was supervising the dogs. I found out later, it was only the two employees there.I came back in a few hours to get my dog. When I arrived, both the other employee and owner were in the front area, and as I walked in the owner went to the back through the door she had brought my dog through when she took her in. I assumed she saw me coming and went back to get my dog, but right away the man working with her went to the back. As I waited 4-5 min. For my dog to come up, I could hear the owner yelling repeatedly at the top of her lungs for the dogs to "shut up!!" And "knock it off" not just a couple times, but over and over during the time I was waiting. I heard a scuffle with the dogs, and hoped my dog wasn't part of it. The man brought my dog out, and I asked how she did. He said she mostly stayed huddled in the corner, which I wasn't surprised about after hearing the yelling. My dog loves to play, but HATES when people yell. The woman came out and we all stood around talking for about 5-10 minutes again. I brought up other places having webcams, and the owner gave her reasons for not having them. There was another scuffle with the dogs and the owner went to the back to yell at them (at least she wasn't hiding the fact that she yelled at the dogs a lot) at which point I realized that we had stood there talking that whole time, and it seemed there was nobody supervising the dogs. I said "there's always someone back supervising the dogs, right?" The owner stated "yes" and pretty much at the same time the man said "well except when we are both up here" and the owner followed up with "but we can hear them, we know what's going on at all times" when we got in the car, I noticed that there was blood on my seat. My dog was bleeding from her leg, which I understand can happen when dogs are playing, but 1: I was told she didn't play, and 2: If they were supervised the whole time, they may have noticed it and warned me when I picked her up.While I understand the need to keep the dogs in line, we will not be back because amount of yelling, which seemed to me to be beyond just a reprimand to get the dog's attention, and because I don't want to pay to have my dog unsupervised with dogs I don't know.

I was at the Rebecca Farm event today. I watched this lady on three different occasions. She was walking 6-7 dogs. All dogs seemed uneasy. I don't know if they were hot or overwhelmed in general. I saw this lady fling a small dog around like it was on a fair ride. That's where I got pissed. This was in no way a correction appropriate for a dog that size. She had a 4 month old larger white dog I observed being kicked and choked. The dog was put on a very tight placement in the pack. I could hear the animal choking. When I looked back it took all of my self control not to create an all out brawl. I am writing this angry review because o use professional services like this Lucky dog day camp myself. If my animals where ever handled in the way this "professional ," handled the animals in her care I would never go there again. On top of the harsh K9 handling she drove off like a crazy person in her car not even in the correct lane. Please really do your personal research for when you pay this lady to care for your animals.
