Glacier Bank is WAY better then the big guys! They go above and beyond to help you in whatever way they can! I've used their services for over 5 years. I just can't wait for the day for those of us that have been refused treatment for chronic illness and lost many businesses due to decades of symptoms to get some "credit forgiveness"! My husband and I were new to the area and needed to open up checking and savings accounts. Every single person we have met and been serviced by have been so kind and extremely helpful. Love everything about this bank!

I opened a business account with First Security, part of the Glacier Bank group. While the customer service in the bank has been fine, the online banking leaves a LOT to be desired. I should have checked earlier, but literally they only save transactions for 90 days. Completely useless at tax time; in this day and age of ultra cheap digital storage what IT person made that stupid call? This is going to cost me a ton of work. I will likely switch banks soon so I don't have to deal with this next year. They will export to QuickBooks but only in 90 day increments, which is just dumb...I am having to pull up the text versions of all my statements and wasting my time dumping it into a text file and messing with it to get it into Excel. Again, in the age of cheap storage and easy to export formats, this is unacceptable for business.

We were really wanting to like this bank. After all, we are moving to Kalispell Montana and the name seemed fitting. So we opened two accounts at a local branch in 2021. Fast forward to January, 2023. We haven't really started to use Glacier as our bank becasue we aren't moving there for a couple of months more. However what has transpired over the last two week as made us put a stop to a large amount of money we were transferring to Glacier bank from our bank in another state. To be to the point, we have found Glacier bank disorganized, confusing and somewhat incompetent. The first incident started to happen a few weeks back. After setting up an account in December, 2021, on January 3, 2023, I decided to check into my account online. I was totally unsuccessful. I tried several more times but to no avail. So, I called the local branch. I nice lady attempted to help me get into my account. It didn't work. So. she escalated the situation and said another person would be calling me to fix the issue the next day. That call didn't come until two days later. Then, after 15 minutes, this lady convinced me everything was finished and I could check in. ..so she hung up. I was happy to finally be able to check into my account. But I tried and I tried, but it still didn't work. I tried everything for 10 minutes . Still nothing. I called again. This time I got another lady who said she would help me. After ten minutes she couldn't do anything . But then, she really surprised me telling me that the reason it wasn't working was because I did not have an account. What? I had no account? Yes I did! I tried to explain to this second lady that I just had a call from a person who said my account was fixed, but this new lady didn't car. She just said that I didn't have an account. I was now upset. I did have an account! So, I asked this lady to speak to her supervisor because I knew I had an account. I waited another ten minutes and finally another lady came on and said she would help me. After looking at our situation, she apologized for the other lady and admitted I did have an account. But then she said, don't worry, I will fix it. After 10 more minutes, it still wasn't working. No one at this bank seemed to know what to do. Finally this lady said she would again have to "escalate " it to another person, but I have to wait a couple more days. Its now been nearly a week and I still cannot access my online account. Total frustration to us. But within an hour we had our second huge disappointment with this bank...and it had nothing to do with trying to access my online account. This time it was in reference to obtaining a small construction loan to build our home.We have been coming to kalispell very frequently for over two years.Among other things, I am a general Contractor who has built over 63 homes in three different states the last 40 years. I am licensed in California and Montana. We have the one perfect lot. We have been meeting contractors throughout the valley and have understood the supply chain issues and lack of quality workers as well as contractors in the area. We had plans drawn up and engineered to make things beautiful. We have another house currently to build and thought it would be a good time to build our house at the same time ( knowing that the "one and done builder" will not have the kind of priority that an contractor will have who will build others. as we plan to do). So, after having our account at Glacier, we felt it would be important to go to them for a small construction loan (approx $275,000 - 300,000). After all, the property is paid off and we intend to apply about $500,000 of our own money to to construction.The lady I spoke to was named "Jane". She said she was the construction specialist at Glacier and she would help me. That's when our concerns with Glacier really began to take off. I’ve only had fantastic service with Glacier Bank. They have spotted fraud activity quickly on my account a couple of times before any charges could be made. Amazing fraud division. I also love the free checks.I’ve always been treated with the upmost respect and like I was their most important customer.I’m very pleased with my experience with them.

We started our construction busuness in Flathead Valley, MT, 8 years ago being completely new to the area. We would not be able to succeed without Glacier Bank and personally Mr. Pete Davis. Great professional , great support , great attitude. I will always remember our years of cooperation with gratitude and warmth. The customer support number is for some overseas call center. They can't actually do anything useful - they just file a ticket and say an actual bank employee should call you back in 1-2 days.

This bank has the worst mobile app ever invented. Super frustrating constantly have to change your password because it will not save to your phone or computer. This is twice in a week that I've had to try to change my password because of this app and also on the webpage it does not work. Jurassic systems. I was not notified my debit card was compromised Until I went to use it. I had to call in. No text no email. I tried to log on the web and on the app to see what's going on in the bank blocked my ability to see my account so now I have to wait all weekend. I have dealt with this too long I'm ready to switch banks.

Online customer service is not useful. Wait time is long. Was told it would take 3 days for someone to let me know what my loan payoff amount is. Unacceptable :(

Customer service has been a nightmare. Excessively long hold times. No returned phone calls after they said they would. My wife has been looking for her paycheck for three weeks. It was sent to the bank and no one at Glacier seems to be able to tell her where it is. Every time she is fortunate enough to talk to someone she gets a different answer/excuse. I guess if you want answers you need to drive to the bank and stand on someone’s desk. This should not be so difficult. (Update) the check has been found. After sitting at the bank for 3 weeks they sent it back to the employer. Now it will probably be another 3 week’s before the check is received, cancelled and reissued. Very disappointed with Glacier Bank!!

Kicked me out of my bank account on the 4th of July weekend I did nothing wrong with my account us online banking everyday and now I can't log in can't check my balance my account is now inactive and nothing to be done til Tuesday because of the excessive holidays they take off can't wait to leave this bank. 4 days later now July 5th and I now I can't get them to answer the phone 15 minutes waiting now and I don't think there gonna answer and I've tried right at 9 am and in the afternoon I work nights I can't stay up all day just to make this call. I did but no results when they won't answer the phone

Worst home loan experience I've ever had. Very impersonal, and inefficient processes. I'd rather get a home loan from Walmart then this bank. I'm over glacier bank, they've gone down hill over the years as they've gone up the corporate ladder.

Porter at the Corp office was very helpful and so was the young lady I spoke to before that. Porter persistently helped me until the issue was corrected. Give this young man a promotion!
