The most disrespectful staff and crew I have ever delt with! They laugh and snicker at you on the phone, a perfect example of corporate attitude towards the people.

I would give them zero stars if I could! I’ve owned my house since 2008. Twice they turned me off. Once when my dad died from cancer in Washington state, and once when my mom died in Washington state. I was traveling and had a lot on my mind. They have no mercy.

I could not ask for a better experience so far! Service has been excellent, and their staff has been very professional.

Great experience. I talked to multiple people on the phone about my bill and they sent Houston out to help right away. Very professional.

I've been trying for several days to get services transferred into my name. The answer then hang up or answer and can't hear me.

Super unprofessional not to mention just straight up lied to us telling us one week then proceeded to take a whole month. Had 811 come out and mark with flags where not to cut they cut right through it and we're not even apologetic then told us we have to do an entirely different electrician for house work which I know for a fact is also untrue as quite a few customers and employees of yours are friends of mine just another example of the super shady businesses and practices that's allowed here

Very frustrated with this company's customer service and they only care about making money off their customers. I have been a customer for almost 5 years and I have not missed a single bill as I've had it on autopay the whole time. My card that was on autopay expired and failed the autopay. They gave ONE call to which I spoke with them and I honestly thought I gave them the new card info, but apparently it didn't get applied. Fast forward to a few days later, NO PHONE CALL they just shut off my power at the hottest part of a 95 degree day. I have 2 kids, one of which is a week old. For someone who hasn't missed 60 payments in a row and their card expired, not insufficient funds (which they knew when they called) it blows me away that they would assume that I didn't want to give them money and resort to shutting the power off. I wouldve gladly paid it if they called me first, and the fact that they dont give you a chance before shutting it off really says a lot about them as a company. When I called they said that it was their policy to only call one time.. they literally have a policy to be as not understanding as they can and not show any care for their customers. Even if I was a customer that didnt have money and having a hard time, giving someone 2 days and one phone call is ridiculously absurd. I thought a local company would care more about their customers and be willing to work with them or at least make a 2 minute phone call, NWE does more than this. I am a business owner and have 4000 things happening every day and it is very very easy to forget one thing. Not to mention their rates have been climbing and climbing. I have no desire to be with a company that is greedy and shows no compassion to their customers. I know its almost pointless to complain about a power company since you cant exactly change companies, but with the raising rates ive been considering going solar.. this was the nail in the coffin

Just want to share my experience with Yellowstone Valley. I have been a customer of theirs for over 20 years. last month I forgot to pay the bill so this month I received a notice of cancellation if I didn't pay my bill. I wrote the check out 2 weeks ago along with all my other checks. Yesterday I received a notice saying that this was my final notice of payment or they would shut off my electricity. I checked my checkbook and saw that I had made a payment for the total amount 2 weeks ago, so I assumed that they payment and the bill passed in the mail. Yesterday when I got home from work, my electricity was shut off. I tried calling, but it was after hours, so they said they could charge me $200 to have it turned back on!!! What? I told them NO!, I would wait until the morning. The next day I called and spoke to customer service. I told them that I had written a check on Oct. 22 and gave them the check number. They said that it had not cleared yet. Hum, that was the only check that got lost in the mail??? Anyway, I asked to speak with the supervisor about the reconnect charge. They wouldn't come in until 11:30 that day, so I waited. When she called, she said there was nothing she could do. I asked why I wasn't contacted? She said they tried. They had 2 numbers that were over 18 years old??? If your personal stuff is not on the bill, how would I know that they had that old of numbers?? They said it was my responsibility to update my personal data. Well, how did they not notice my phone number off my checks that I've been paying with for over 15 years? In the end, they would not budge at all, so I was charged an additional $8o to reconnect and then I would have to go out and push a button on the meter to make sure that the service was started. For $80 bucks, why don't they make sure it is started? I have never been so made at a company. I guess it doesn't make any difference that I have been a long time customer with no issues and always have paid my bills. Warning to you all out there... don't let you bill go even a month over or the same thing will happen to you. NOT impressed with their customer care at all.

Absolutely the worst company to have electric through. We have all electric in our home and have made it our goal to have all energy efficient items but our bill keeps going up. Compared to last year, we are paying more and that's even with the old energy eating items being changed out with BRAND NEW energy efficient items. Our bill is outrageously high, especially during a damn pandemic. Absolutely asinine. I will maybe remove this review or change the stars once I see them lower my bill and keep it lowered. I have tried contacting and am greeted with rude people every single time. If I could, I would give this company zero stars. I am very unhappy with my service and if I could switch to a different company, I would in a heartbeat. 100% do not recommend.
