Willows Huckleberry Land is an absolute must-visit, offering a delightful array of clothing, souvenirs, and more. However, what truly steals the show here is the Huckleberry Shake, an experience that's bound to leave a lasting impression. As we approached the establishment, I decided to consult a local for their recommendation, and without hesitation, they pointed to the Huckleberry Shake. We decided to follow their lead, and the consensus among our group was unanimous: it's one darn good shake. While the consistency may have leaned slightly toward the icy side, as opposed to the creaminess one might expect from a stellar shake, the vibrant Huckleberries compensated for any minor shortcomings in the base ice cream. The explosion of huckleberry flavor more than made up for it.Adding to the charm of the place is the owner, a warm and friendly individual who loves to engage with patrons, sharing jokes and stories. This personal touch adds to the overall appeal of the experience, making a visit to Willows Huckleberry Land not just about the delectable shake but also the delightful connection with the owner.

We've never had huckleberry pie, we tried 3 places while in the area and this was by far the best pie! We were a little shocked that a full pie was $47 so we just got a slice. But to be fair - everywhere was about the same price.Still, an amazing pie and an awesome experience!

This was an awesome quick stop specifically to pick up some huckleberry syrup. I ended up also buying a sweatshirt, some huckleberry jam and licorice.

For being called huckleberry land they sure don't have a lot of huckleberry stuff. Burgers are pretty underwhelming... Looks like a place that used to be really cute but changed owners. Passive aggressive signs on everything and place is pretty messy...

So expensive! They have many Huckleberry treats but it really isn’t worth the high price tag for most of the items.

The proprietor was one of the rudest men! There are signs throughout the store, written on boxes and pieces of cardboard, saying things like, "what part of don't unroll do you not understand? Now it's a flippin' mess that everybody has to deal with". My 80 year old Mother-in-law, who is seriously the kindest and sweetest lady you have ever met, made a teasing comment, "I'll take a piece of your huckleberry pie that won second". She was just teasing! His response was, "you are very irritating". I responded to that and said, "that was very unkind, sir". He did not respond. I wanted to remind him that the customers that frequent his store are the ones that keep his dots open and his bills paid. I decided to walk away instead. Then I noticed that all the fancy chocolate candies he had in glass jars for customer to purchase were in fact all store bought! Every container those fancy candies came out of were stored right below, in plain view! Tacky! Overall, I wouldnt even give 1 star but not able to give 0 stars! RUDE! RUDE! RUDE!! I will never give him our patronage again!

So it's huckleberry season in Montana and this little humble berry is the pride of Montanans (though it's the state fruit of Idaho). Huckleberry ice cream is offered practically everywhere, although being a lactose-intolerant person I like to forgo a gastric disaster when it's within my control. While driving through Hungry Horse, we noted several establishments touting their huckleberry offerings so we were enticed to stop at Huckleberry Land because the sign proclaimed "Huckleberry Jam and Pie Factory". I can't resist a claim like that. The store smelled delicious when we entered. It smelled like pancakes or maybe pie, I'm not sure now. Half of the store had Montana-themed merch and the other half had a food counter, a mural of St Mary's Lake with 50s style huckleberry and white chairs and tables. It was all kind of random but we came for the pie. It was on a paper plate, Saran-wrapped, but it was a damn fine pie, bursting with huckleberries (kind of like a milder blueberry), with a light and tender golden crust. It was not too sweet. Now I saw photos commemorating that this was voted the #2 huckleberry pie in Montana, bonafide. Worth a stop! The coffee (which was microwaved) was not so good.

I live in a place that serves Huckleberry Shakes in almost every fast-serve restaurant. We found that your Huckleberry Shakes were the best we have ever had.
