My husband and I love this shop! Not only were the staff are friendly and very helpful, but they offered to make a design that we loved but had sold out on the floor. They always go above and beyond for their customers!

This is a wonderful outdoor equipment, clothing and shoe store! In addition to camping, hiking etc. equipment, they had a well stocked and excellent selection of women's clothing, including North Face, Patagonia, Prana, and the hard to find Black Diamond. Since it is in downtown Helena, there is paid parking right out front and to the side.

Stopped in for the first time today and couldn't believe what I'd been missing. The owner was SO helpful and the selection was impressive. I'll be back!

Pricey but amazing customer service. Gave the guy my car model and he was able to get me the right roof rack and attachments for a kayak! They even installed them!!! Great advice, quick service!

This place saved our hiking plans! We were desperately looking for a pair of Keen sandals for my husband, and as it was the early part of September, the chances of finding them were low. (We'd been hiking and were driving from Glacier to Yellowstone. Owing to massive blisters, Keen sandals were what we needed to salvage the remainder of our hiking plans.) We'd first stopped at Capital Sports, but they had only clearance and not the correct size or style. To our absolute delight, Base Camp not only had the desired size and style, but a choice of colors. The saleswoman was very helpful, and no sales tax was an added surprise (we're from Illinois).
