I did my scuba open water lessons with Glen the owner of Flathead Scuba, and Helena Scuba. In a three day weekend I was able to become an open water diver. I could not have asked for a more patient understanding and caring instructor then Glen who took the time to work on parts of my lessons where I struggled instead of just passing me he made sure I was able to perform safely. I had such a great time and every peice of gear I buy or any air cylinders I need filled will be done with eaither there Helena location or there Kalispell locations. Thanks for the awsome time Glen and see you again soon. I definitely recommend using him and his wife for all you're scuba needs there great people willing to work with you.

Glen is a great instructor! He cares about his students and works with them to make sure everyone in the class has what they need to be successful. He's a great and fun person to dive with!

I would highly recommend the courses taught here. I completed my Open Water in the ocean and felt comfortable with the training I received from Glen in Kalispell.

The staff here are awesome. Very friendly, very knowledgeable, very professional. Glen provided clear instructions with scuba training and he did so with humor and patience. He worked hard to insure that each student had a good time while being properly educated.

My wife & my recent OW & AOW dive course with Glen from Helena SCUBA was fantastic! He was easy to work with while ensuing that we understood the material we were covering and comfortable with the skills we were learning. When it came to our dives we both felt that he was attentive to what we were doing and gently instructive if we needed assistance in doing something correctly. I would highly recommend Glenn if your interested in getting scuba certified.

We had so much fun diving with both of them on a dive trip to Roatán Honduras. Both were wonderful to have with on the boat. Our dive group was 19 strong and we split between 2 boats, they got lumped onto the boat I was on and were just a joy to be around. Karen was great at seeing all the macro things with her camera and pointing them out to those of us that are still learning what to look for. Glen was just a calming influence.

I've gone on about a dozen trips organized by Helena Scuba, as well as taken several advanced courses through the shop. You will never find people more dedicated to helping you immerse yourself in the U/W experience than Karen and Glen! Exceedingly competent instruction, a knack for finding exciting destinations, and making all of the arrangements - Helena Scuba does it all.

The "Dive for a Cause" program that Helena Scuba hosted last winter was a breath of new life for me. I haven't done too much stuff in the water since getting medically discharged from the Coast Guard about 15 years ago. I was so heartbroken that I just got away from the water entirely. Had no idea just how much I really missed it!! After each session in the water I felt so relaxed and it just woke my soul back up. Never thought I'd be diving, mostly cuz I thought cost would be a major issue. This was really one of the best gifts I've received in so very long. Thank you Helena Scuba, Glen, Karen, and all the rest who made this possible!! I look forward to getting under the water again and working on some more certifications!!

My wife and I got our open water certification through Helena Scuba. Glen was an exceptionally patient and thorough instructor, something I appreciated later on after seeing a resort dive instructor give the 'short version' of the skills tests to some other vacationers. Practicing skills in the pool was low key and relaxed, and we were able to go at our own pace. The shop in Helena has a good variety of equipment on hand, and they are able to service and repair a number of brands. If the shop doesn't have what you're looking for, Karen is more than happy to help you find and order whatever you might be looking for. Prices are very competitive, on par or lower than what you would find online. I would recommend Helena Scuba to anyone in the area who might even be thinking about getting certified.

I have traveled with Helena Scuba for over 10 years and I highly recommend taking one of their trips! I first met them as a guest of another diver who ended up going off with another person and leaving me to dive with a bunch of strangers. The Helena Scuba divers took me in like I was family and by the end of the week they were no longer strangers. I have been on almost every trip they have planed since then. I was a single diver for most of the time so their trips allowed me to meet other people to room and dive with that have now become life long friends. Glen is a great instructor and has helped many of us improve our diving skills overs the years. The trips vary in location but are always casual and relaxing. Karen often plans some kind of game or contest with prizes that helps people learn more about the flora and fauna we see underwater. There is a core group of divers who are experienced divers and travelers so it makes for an enjoyable trip!
