My dad passed away this month and i was up from CA helping my mom settle things here in Helena. Woke up to his large Tacoma -my mode of transportation- having a flat tire. I called Costco not wanting to leave mom without spare. They worked me in on a SATURDAY to fix the flat and replace it under the truck as the spare. What a personable, hard working, and terrific bunch of guys in Costco's tire shop! Great credit to Costco...thanks again guys.

This is the best tire shop in Helena, hands down. Scheduling is tough and often requires you to be two weeks+ out, but that's the price you pay for wanting to do business with the best.

This is a great place if you want to get jerked around.We took our car in with an object in the tire. I had used Fix-a-Flat to get us there and drove it 100 miles with no issues, no leaks. I explained exactly what I did using the Fix-a-Flat. After they removed the tire from the car and popped the bead, they told me they can’t fix it because it’s against their policy to fix tires after using fix-a-flat. They said they would NOT install my tire back on the car and would only put the spare on as it’s against their policy to install a tire that has something in the tire. The tire was fine as I drove it 100 miles to get there and never lost any air. They absolutely refused to put it on. I did not want to drive in icy roads with a spare. After 10 minutes of back and forth arguing, they brought me back to show me the tire would not hold air. Hey Costco, when you reset the tire on the bead, it caused the seal to break on the fix-a-flat. YOU caused my tire to go not hold air and refused to install it because of YOUR mistake. You should have never touched the tire in the first place after I told your employee there was fix-a-flat in the tire as you have a policy against it. Telling me after the fact is inexcusable then followed by a refusal to fix the tire after you caused it to leak. In addition, telling me there’s a liability issue if they installed the tire back on my car is a joke. After you damage my tire and sending me along on a spare on icy roads when you refused to do the right thing, is a way bigger liability.To the manager I spoke with in the tire shop, your arrogance is laughable. Had you trained your employee at the counter, the ridiculous experience would have been avoided altogether.

I work for Laquinta and our property is a couple of blocks from the Costco store at perimeter in Atlanta, Ga. After work, I discovered my tire was flat so I drove over to Costco and was treated very rudely and harshly in front of other customers as the clerk informed me that due to my not being a member that they couldn’t service me and I had to move my car. When I asked about joining a membership, I was promptly told that he didn’t have time to set me up and asked to allow the next person to get ahead. I have never been so humiliated and disappointed.

Very good store and good pricing EXCEPT at the gas pumps. It seems that Costco has decided to stop sharing any savings on gas pricing. You could always count on saving $0.10 a gallon, but now it is .3-.4 cents. The Billings Costco and Sam's both sell for $.10 under market prices. WHY?

Costco Gas is the best, boy i guess.Hours are always different than the warehouse, opening much earlier, and often closing an hour or so later.I went several days and little or no lines, and you get the same "Top Tier" has you have come to expect.The gas prices in helena all seem to be the same, atleast for 87 octane, so not a cost advantage for costco gas - i've never encountered that before. locals claim that all gas is supplied from one refinery so a bit of monopoly. Top Tier is just high detergent to keep your engine running clean.

This was my first time doing tires through Costco. When I called and talked with Andy he was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tires I wanted were out of stock pretty much everywhere because of Covid disruptions. After the call he called back 5 minutes later saying he had found a set of tires in one of the Carolinas! He had them ordered and I got them on the next week. My only complaint is out of the 4 tires, only 1 was set to the correct tire pressure and the sticker on my windshield also had the incorrect tire pressure. I did a "chalk" test to verify they were over inflated and aired them down to the correct PSI. I checked the torque on the lug nuts and they were in spec which is reassuring. Great price on the tires and they had a sale so I'm pretty happy.

The meat department is to be avoided. The salmon is farm raised, which is significantly less healthy than wild salmon. The steak is blade tenderized, which means you have to torch it to achieve food safety. Who wants to eat a well done steak? If I want it tenderized, I can do it myself. Finally, they often switch the coolers to defrost, which means the meat will go bad. I have had 3 returns because the chicken was bad, so I guess the third time isn't the charm. I would open any meat products right away for a smell test before re bagging and freezing. Look at the coolers for a temperature or defrost. Who has ever heard of turning off a fridge? There is good things about this joint of course, but taking a giant section and making it worthless just doesn't make sense.
