As a health care provider, I was trying to guide my patient moving from a clinic setting into a gym setting, and met with the individual’s personal trainer to discuss this. After a 10 minute conversation with a trainer, I was promptly asked to leave the premise, as I am not a member and was told I could no longer be there. I did not use any equipment, or even attempt to treat my patient there. There used to be no issue with this, and health care providers were not informed of the change in policy. Health care providers used to have a great relationship with this gym to ensure patients/members knew how to use machines and what machines were appropriate to use for their ailments. I used to love this gym, but am now disappointed. A one time visit to ensure safety in their setting along with caring for one of their “valued members” should not be impeded. At the very least a notice should be sent so health care facilities so they do not block out their time and find it to be wasted. Very disappointed.

I absolutely love it here! The amenities alone are worth every penny. Plus the staff and general crowd during my push days are all so nice and respectful. And the ability to grab a killer smoothie after any of my workouts also just rocks!

I attempted to cancel my membership in February of 2023 and attempted several times after that after seeing that I was still being charged. Better yet not only did they not cancel it but they actually increased my monthly fee to $75 a month. It took until August for them to actually cancel my membership and stop charging me. If you thought things couldn’t get any better well you’d be wrong. They also refuse to give me my money back because it’s “against policy” so there goes $700.

I was moving out of State and canceled my membership before leaving. They took out a month’s after that and would not refund my fee. Call them again to make sure this would not happen again! To my dismay they have just taken out another month fee! I am extremely unhappy about this and I’m considering getting a lawyer.

I was trying to join a new gym in the area. I had reached out to do their free week trial before signing up, but no one ever responded, despite trying to get in touch with them repeatedly. That should have been a warning. Instead I was in such a rush to join a gym that I went in and signed up without really checking the place out.Since I've been working out there it's been pretty disappointing. Many machines don't function properly, the men's locker room is routinely very dirty, and the locker room is carpeted, as if they want to treat all of their patrons to athletes foot.Unfortunately I signed up for a full year. I'm already looking into joining another gym after only a month of working out here. I really don't have anything positive to say, aside from the fact that they offered a veterans discount, which most gyms do now, so that shouldn't be a deciding factor for anyone interested in joining.

The class teachers are the best part of my membership, but I also like using the treadmills, ellipticals, and spinning room on my own between classes. I appreciate having towels and showers available as well.

I’ve been a member to many different clubs from anytime fitness to lifetime fitness and ma and pa clubs. As a grad student, this monthly membership fee is hard to beat for my wife and I, especially for the great condition of the equipment. Its hard to find a gym that has the goodies - the EZ bar rack, tricep dip, back extension chair, and stair climber. Air is well circulated and not stuffy or hot.. and most members have good gym etiquette on busy days. My one critique after a years membership is the sauanas are not always reliably running, albeit some members are the cause of it pouring water or bcaa water over the stove…

I have had a membership at this gym for a little over a month now. I did the 7 day free trial first and enjoyed the experience overall. To me it's spendy so I wanted to leave an in depth review for those considering joining.Pros: friendly atmosphere, good amenities with the pool, hot tub, and saunas. Suits my needs as far as basic workout equipment and whatnot. Overall decent customer service and good class offerings.Cons: The hours of operation are kind of annoying. I found out the hard way they close at 5pm on the weekends. You can purchase a 24 hour pass for the smaller area downstairs and I was going to add it automatically but I was told by the membership guy not to do that unless I had a problem. Also, all the classes they have are seemingly in the 9-5 hours which means I can't partake in most of them. Hygiene isn't great in there if you go towards the end of the day like I do. Few people wipe the equipment and the teenagers working the desk at those hours don't walk around and clean intermittently and just stand around on their phones. And the women's locker room definetly has this urine smell in one corner. I once found a bathingsuit just left in the dry sauna. Before I signed up for membership I made sure they knew the locker room wasn't great and it has improved since.Overall, if I wasn't locked in to the contract I'd consider canceling but there are still many positives about this gym as many other reviews have mentioned.

As autumn turns to winter, spending as much time at Capital City Health Club is the plan to keep moving and tend to my mental health. Besides two pools, I love the saunas and plan to spend time in the hot tub. It's the first day of our membership and I'm already impressed. The swim instructor got my shy guy to enjoy the water to the point he didn't want to leave. I plan on attending some classes, trying out the equipment and sending my kids to care so I can workout.

I have gone to this gym for many years now, it used to be a good place to go. Unfortunately, I feel extremely uncomfortable going to this gym now because of what women wear while they’re at the gym I have brought this up to management and the front desk. In fact, at one point they put a sign out front encouraging women to wear appropriate attire at the gym. I should not have to see other women’s privates because they choose to wear see-through outfits at the gym. I have asked that the gym let me out of my contract because I feel uncomfortable going to the gym now and they have not addressed the problem they have, but they refused. Now I workout at home and still have to pay for a gym membership Clearly this establishment cares more about their money over a safe environment for their gym goers. I would not recommend this gym to anyone and in fact, I go out of my way to tell people how unpleasant and uncomfortable the environment there is.

I've been continuously impressed with the quality of instruction and variety of group classes offered. Some yoga classes are even offered live online. Staff and members are always friendly; the facility is reliably clean. Machines are well maintained and I've yet to have to wait to use anything. Great gym!

The only thing I wish this gym had is an indoor track. My old gym had both an indoor and outdoor track, but looking at the neighborhood, an outdoor track is out of the question. Other than that, it is GREAT!!!!!! LOVE the pool. I haven't used much of the weights yet.

I've found an invigorating work out at CCHC gym, stretching, muscle toning, etc... an important part of my work out is playing basketball, my blood pressure is under control, so many benefits I'm satisfied. Which brings me to the problem, CCHC has 6 baskets, 3 of them are at 7-8 feet, why is that? During the week I rarely see any one using them (besides some kid wanting to see if he can dunk the ball at 8 feet). Please raise the baskets to regulation height of 10 feet. One basket at 8 feet is plenty, don't you think?
