Avis is under new ownership! Great people who do the right thing and understand customer service. Avis picked up the ball after the incompetent people at Enterprise failed to reserve a car for me even though I had a conformation from them. Avis (the staff) stepped up to the plate and did a great job! I recommend Avis to everyone and am happy to share with them my experience compared to the morons at Enterprise!

Went into Avis car rental at the airport in Montana and had the worst experience I've ever had! Very unprofessional and was told I couldn't rent a car because of an issue with my sister what does my sister have to do with me nothing was given no explanations and I have rented many cars in my life and never have had an experience as this. Was told that the manager & corporate which I believe her name is Rachel told them not to rent any vehicles to me ... or anyone associated with her! I would never ever recommend this company to anyone.. Went somewhere else and had no issues.. Avis you really suck! ?

At first we had problems with the bill when we returned the vehicle . They were willing to hear our issue and willing to resolve it even if it meant bending the rules a little. And getting a vehicle was very quick and hassle free.

My husband was fighting fires in Montana and we had a reservation to pick up a car from Helena airport to go to another fire in CA. We went to pick up the car and was told that the credit card did not go through. I tried to use my card and she refused and kept saying he was not "allowed " to rent there and did not know why or would call anyone to find out why. I asked her to help and she kept being sarcastic and rude and just did not want to help. She then called her coworker that was washing the car outside and he never heard the first half of the conversation and kept telling us the card did not go through and then threatened to call security on us. She also mentioned that we have to have good credit score so we wouldn't have a bad card. We have 800 credit score and hardly ever use our card. When we were threatened with security we went to the next booth to National and the guy heard the whole conversation and rented us a car with the same credit card with no problem. I went outside to call Avis to make sure they canceled our reservation and told them what happened. In the meantime the car washer walks by and said something to me but I couldn't hear what he said because I was on the phone. We left the airport disappointed of what happened and have never been treated like this before. Sure enough hours later our card was charged $1,129.84 for the rental that we were never got. I called customer service and now have to wait a couple of weeks when my credit card statement to come out to prove to them we were charge so we can get our money back. No one got in contact with us about what happened or why they are holding on to our money. I guess they let their employees treat customers anyway they like. We have been renting cars for years and this was the worse experience we've ever had.

Avis rented me a car in Helena, MT in dangerous condition. Both front tires were bald. The right front tire had a bubble. The right rear tire had a slice down to the radial. Avis had me pay an exorbitant charge to have a company that Avis recommended tow the car which was too dangerous to drive to exchange it. Avis then charged me $79 more than it stated it would charge.

Rachel represents Avis values at the highest level. She could not get us a replacement car after an accident, but made sure we got the exact 8 seater premium car in West Yellowstone, even though her own W Ystone colleague was rude with her on the phone. Thank you Rachel!!????

made my reservation about 3 weeks in advance. When I picked up the vehicle, Andrew was very unprofessionally dressed with an attitude that was rude and short. He wouldn't tell me what I was getting for a vehicle or where it was parked. When I did finally get the information as he was walking out the door, I was told that the reserved VW Jetta(or like vehicle) had turned into a Dodge 1500. When I stated that was not going to work and would like a different vehicle, he said "you got a vehicle didn't you". After walking around the lot to find this vehicle among the several other cars and trucks on the lot, it was hard to feel that this was the only vehicle available for me. I called the next day and spoke with a person that advised if I kept all my receipts, I would be compensated for the difference in fuel upon my return. When I made it back and was returning the vehicle, Andrew was again very rude and short. Couldn't seem to get the keys and go behind his door. I called the next day, again speaking with the same woman, only to be told that they are a franchise so she could not compensate me as promised. She advised I would need to call customer service on the 800#. This I did, only to be transferred each time I questioned the bill and asked about the fuel compensation. I was told something different by each person, that they couldn't help would transfer me to someone who could. During this process, I was also hung up on if I asked any questions the representatives didn't want to deal with. Hmmmm....not very good business. The last person I spoke with advised that since I had prepaid, there was no options available for a refund but she would send me a voucher for 2 free days rental good for 2 years. When I got the email voucher, it is only good for 1 year. Would you be willing to try them again?

Worst experience of my life renting a car. The car I was given broke down halfway in the middle of the desert I was able to limp to a Avis location that refused to exchange the vehicle. I ended up having to tow the rental vehicle out of pocket. The customer service from an undetermined country was beyond unhelpful. I was on hold for close to two hours. Then when I get home and return the vehicle. I was threatened with a $250.00 cleaning fee for something I could have vacuumed myself. Since the Avis manager said they “did not have the basic facilities to vacuum.” I strongly recommend no one to ever use Avis or budget unless you enjoy horrendous rental car experiences. 0/10 They were beyond awful.

I have been a Avis prefer member for years but after renting a car from Helena, Mt. I will not use Avis again.The clerk were friendly at check out but Avis here are no longer doing basic maintenance on their vehicles.I received a vehicle that had a low tire which I mentioned to a Avis yard person which said it was the cold without offering to look at it. It was not the cold and ended up spending my holiday at discount tire getting it fixed. After driving a little more another tire was low (24psi) and went back to discount tires and to find out 2 more tires were going flat quickly with a nail in them. Also, the wind shield wipers falling apart (which I was told to go to a mechanic to fix) there was no washer fluid, and an expired license (6/22).Avis used to be a good and reliable company but not anymore and are renting out unsafe and unmaintained vehicles.After this incident, I am no longer going to use Avis again and recommend others not to.

Staff was super rude, treated as if I were not important enough to rent a car from so I cancelled my reservation and left. Both the front desk lady and her employee (who was obviously not happy should be let go) should be replaced. Probably the most unprofessional behavior I have encountered in the rental car industry and I won’t be back.

I would give negative stars if i could. I rented a vehicle to drive across the country to a funeral, was given a car that should have caused 4 more funerals. The tread on the tires to this vehicle were non existent. Quite literally cracking and chipping. While going 75 down a highway with 3 kids in the car with me. We were very lucky we didn't pop a tire and head into on coming traffic or the ditch gping 75 miles and hour. We then swap vehicles for something with safe tires. Was charger FOR TWO RENTALS when we wouldn't have needed a second rental if the first one was safe. As I have my paperwork from Jesse at avis stating I will not be charged another 844 for a second rental, what do you know I get charged 844 for another rental so a total of over 1700 avis has taken from me and I've been waiting for a refund for almost 3 weeks now. Joe at avis has been giving me the run around about the return. Check your vehicle if you rent from avis, do not trust their workers to give you a vehicle that will keep you and your family safe on the road.
