This is absolutely the worst bank I've ever dealt with. They're immoral and in my opinion half their practices should be illegal. Go to Russell country instead! Horizon ruined embarcks reputation!

They have the most complicated, time consuming, and redundant automated system and it's not even clear on directions. I'm not a senior citizen but their calling system makes me feel like one because every time I follow the directions I don't get to talk to a representative. I might as well just drive to the bank to ask my questions because their phone system is the dumbest one I've ever experienced and I've dealt with the Tricare automated system and holding times, so the fact that Tricare is more bearable, is saying a lot.

Not as happy with Horizon as Embark. No phone number to your local branch. All goes to a nationwide call service. Local employees are great nut.

Switching from Embark was THE WORST decision this credit union could’ve made! Horizon is absolutely terrible from the very beginning and to find out that only 3 staff at the River location are still remaining since the merger says it all. Can’t talk to a local person, automated phone tree hell to get any assistance or answers. I highly recommend steering clear of this credit union and look elsewhere. Just read the other recent reviews!

The most disgusting thing happened when Embark joined that Horizon. You can not get to their page (get some Red Hat instead), log in information is not recognized, cash can not be withdrawn, 800 number takes forever and connects you to somebody out of state. I am closing this account as soon as I get to reach finally somebody who will k let me access my account online

Why can not they even set the proper link to the bank site from Google? Why do I have to put special efforts and time to find where to login to my account?

I tried to withdraw money from my husband's account today in the drivethrough on 15ht street. I'm not on the account so I wasn't able to do it. Which I totally understand. However the teller was very rude to me about it and wouldn't even let me finish speaking before she cut off the video comm. She acted like I was some some sort of criminal.I understand there are rules but I did not appreciate the way she treated me. I understand she had to tell me no but she could have done it in a polite way.

My experience with Horizon FCU has been the worst thing ever!!!! Would not recommend to anyone. Absolutely horrible! Have contacted numerous times and no one knows anything. Terrible service on loans. Payments not being made for months.

Used to be great, been with them for years, even when they were teachers federal credit union, but with the horizon merger, the service is trash. Like honest garbage. I have nothing positive to say. You really screwed up, everyone I know is leaving for different unions and it has only been 3 days since the switch.. pretty sad. Pretty pathetic

Absolutely most difficult credit union I have ever dealt with. Their “system” is designed to push all outgoing transactions before processing anything in. Basically, if you get paid the same day that auto pay bills come through, they will charge everything to your account before processing your deposit. This ensures that, if your account can be overdrawn, they get the maximum amount of overdraft fees. I was once charged 8 different overdraft fees the same day I was paid due to this “system.”
