Amerigas bought my local supplier, Northern Energy a couple years ago. When I try to get gas delivered now i have to talk to a dispatcher somewhere in the East. They can only assure that I get a delivery sometime “..in 7-14 business days” It’s -12F and my tank is at 25%. I will be empty before 14 business days. I would advise anyone with a choice to AVOID Amerigas.

Terrible customer service, poorly designed website, and multiple missed deliveries over the course of several bitterly cold winter months...We recently moved and need our tank picked up and account closed out, we were informed that they aren't picking up tanks until after the winter months are over? Not sure why...there is no snow on the ground and you can't get COVID from a propane tank....Also that it would cost over 200 dollars for the service fee and pumping if over 5%. Absolutely do NOT recommend.

Can't ever get ahold of these guys. Got sick of it and told them to come get their tank. They weren't supposed to come get it until the 4th after we pumped the gas and set a tank from a different more reliable provider. Instead the asshats showed up two days early and stole 350 gallons of gas, and I get to start the whole process of fighting the urge to drive into town and brick someone's windows because they never answer the damn phone.

No where online do they tell you the Great Falls location is closed to walk in cylinder fills. Unmanned location per the phone rep. No longer Northern Energy Propane. Now AmeriGas.

I've been a customer for 25+ YEARS! Over the past 3 years, I've had all kinds of bad experiences..... tank rental bills that were supposed to be $50 annually, that were billed from $75 to $200! Each time the only way to resolve was to go to the store, fuss, fuss, and fuss..... they were just probing, to see who would pay the extra without questioning it. Next, I've had their trucks show up at my place THREE times in as many months, stating they had a "fill order", when in reality I had never requested anything. Had it not been for me working from home, and stopping them, I would have been hit with hefty/unexpected propane fills. Now that Amerigas has taken over..... I'M DONE!! I am switching to Breen oil Company, and I'd encourage others in the Great Falls, MT area to do the same.....otherwise you can look forward to lousy service, increased prices, and increased tank rental fees.

Northern Energy's customer service history has been excellent. I have found Northern Energy employees to be friendly and considerate.
