Yesterday I fished Armstrongs Spring Creek with Nolan from Angler’s West. I had a wonderful day. Fishing was tricky because I was not used to fishing small flies on long, fine leaders. Nolan gave me some good pointers that paid off. I hooked a bunch of nice fish and landed a few. I’m definitely going back.

Can't speak to the guide service but the shop personnel are frosty as a February evening in Cut Bank. Appears that the out of staters like it though.

We had a fantastic day on the Yellowstone with Nolan. He's knowledgeable, patient, engaging and fun - and he LOVES to help people catch fish. That is what he did for us: we caught fish! (When most other boats were not, btw, and that was because of Nolan not us). Nolan gave just enough instruction to help but not too much to overwhelm.He knows alot about birds, insects, and Montana in general, which added alot of dimension to our day on the river. The scenery was spectacular (when I took my eye off that fly!), and we just loved our whole experience.Angler's West was top-notch from start to finish. We can't wait to come back!

We had a fantastic trip with Hannah Bick on the Yellowstone. She is so knowledgeable about Montana, the river and most importantly, fly fishing. Not only did we land an amazing brown, my casting improved beyond measure.

I didn’t want to wait to write a review for the day my wife and i had. We’re vacationing in Montana to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We decided to book a last minute fly fishing trip and Anglers West was able to make it happen. Our guide was Buddy, and i can’t say enough how awesome he was. This was our first time fly fishing, and his instruction had us ready in no time. We hiked to a remote spot within Yellowstone, and the very 1st cast i caught a beautiful cutthroat. We caught fish all day and had numerous doubles. Buddy was awesome to be around, very knowledgeable and made our trip one we will never forget.

WOW, what a TERRIFIC 1st time experience! My wife and I had never gone fly fishing, no less float on the majestic Yellowstone River! Did we ever choose the *RIGHT* outfitter! We can't say enough about Angler's West and our guide, => TY GREEN <=. As you can see from the attached pictures, Ty made this trip fun, educational and we **GOT LOTS of FISH** (in mid-Sept 2022), all with PERFECT weather! From browns, to rainbows, and many others. In addition, Ty provided a hearty sandwich lunch with chips and even strawberries for a mid-day break in the action. These two days of .... floating and fishing, experiencing the beauty around us (including watching all the bald eagles and mountain scenery).......was exactly what the doctor ordered. And we thank Ty and the good people at Angler's West for all their communication with us as well. This trip EXCEEDED our expectations and we encourage ANYONE who wants to FLY FISH, ENJOY BEAUTY and NATURE and ... who want to go with a KNOWLEDGEABLE guide......you really need to check out Angler's West.....and ask for Ty Green! Called on a Friday to try and book a trip, they were unsure if they could accommodate. Company called two days later on Sunday when we were unable to take the call. No confirmation made, however they charged our card on Monday without authorization. When I called to ask them to remove the charges, they refused. So sad to have such poor customer service. Be careful when dealing with this company.

I'm glad to share our experience with this shop! We used their guide Dan M. for a float trip on the Yellowstone and also for a day trip into Yellowstone Park. We had some travel problems and Dan adjusted our start time which was really nice of him. Both trips were fantastic! Dan is an excellent guide. He definitely knows his stuff and was fun to be around. The shop was great too. We fished around locally on our own for a few days and everybody was fantastic to deal with. I did unfortunately break a rod but shop owner Matson R. gave me such a great price on a new one that I soon got over it. He went above and beyond on that and I really appreciate it. The advice was free flowing and the flies, gear, and services we purchased were exceptional. I can't wait to go back and I highly recommend them!

We went fishing with Dan. He was a great fishing guide and very knowledgeable about the area. I would highly recommend going fishing with Dan anytime. We will definitely be back
