We stayed during the summer of 2022. It was clean, and the service was great. It was well maintained and was cute like motels used to be. The location cannot be beat and the price was very reasonable for the area.

Owner is incredibly kind, accommodating and gracious. Rooms are clean and the beds are VERY comfortable. Easy walk to restaurants, try the wood fired pizza trailer on property. It’s a simple place, the perfect base for your Glacier adventures!

Mountain Pine Motel is a wonderful place to stay during a visit to Glacier National Park if you know what to expect. I was there at the very beginning of the season in May and the motel had been closed since October, so the room was a bit musty, which bothered my allergies. It's also quite dated...it opened in the 1940s, so this is expected. The room was clean, though, and comfortable. Each room has its own parking spot right in front of the door, which was incredibly convenient for loading and unloading. The owner, grandson of the founders, was extremely friendly, informative, and helpful. He recommended some great spots to see and they definitely lived up to the hype. All in all, this was a great place to stay after hiking in Glacier National Park all day.

All thoughts are honest and opinions are my own.* My family and I are SO glad we stayed here. The owner is indescribably kind; was easy to book with him over the phone, then we drive up and I checked in. He was helpful and curious with our next adventure and wrote out directions for us for our drive on a map he provided us. He clearly knows the areas well and is very familiar with the freeways of MT and Canadian areas. He also described to me his family history and that the motel was first started 75 years ago! It is obvious his family and him have cared for it very well. The rooms were immaculate, comfortable and we love the mountain feel of course. The area and motel was quiet, safe and relaxing during our stay. The coffee in the room, clean and comfortable amenities and little touches like a beer opener in the room really made our stay extra special. We loved our stay here and will definitely be back. Keep in mind the pictures I took are the morning after we woke up, so the beds did not look like this upon check in, they were slept in comfortably! But I wanted you to see the cuteness of the room and what to expect during your stay.
Mountain Pine is also incredible close to Glacier National Park. I love that it’s located in East Glacier so our drive took the park was short and easy after the owner gave us a great route to take.
Thank you Mountain Pine Motel for the great hotel!

What a quaint little spot! My mom and I were tent camping near East Glacier earlier this week when the weather turned and winds were gusting up to 75mph! We quickly booked a single queen room online and when we arrived, the man checking us in (who I believe is the owner) offered us a 2 bed room at the same price because it was empty. He was so sweet and it made our stay so comfortable. The room was so clean and had everything we needed for a last minute stay. Would definitely recommend!

Had such a great stay here with two young kids. Rooms are very clean, showers great and loved being able to park by the room to get kids stuff in and out of the car.
Ryan was incredibly helpful with everything, especially which hikes were worth doing over our couple of days. Great access point to a lot of the valleys on the east side. Will definitely stay again on our next visit.

Don't let the word motel fool you (I tend to stray away from anything I see the word motel in, maybe it has to do with where I'm from?) because this is far from it! After checking out reviews and photos, I decided to give it a shot and I'm sure glad I did! My significant other and I stayed overnight at Mountain Pine Motel after arriving via Amtrak in the evening. The office staff was so accommodating (and they do allow 'After Hour' check in, you just need to let them know!) and the cabin was SO cute and cozy! The photos you see online are exactly what you get. The cabin was very clean and the bathroom was spotless! It does get quite cool during the night outside but the cabin stayed nice and warm. It's been 6+ months since our stay and my boyfriend and I STILL talk about how much we enjoyed our stay here and have plans to stay again when we return to Glacier in the future! 12/10! If you're looking for breakfast the next morning, there is a local diner in East Glacier across from the Amtrak Station that has delicious and filling food - make sure to bring your appetite!

The owner was incredibly helpful throughout the booking, during and after the stay. The rooms were tiny and I'm not used to Glacier prices but they seemed typical for the area. My only issue is there was a bit of a noise every time the heater kicked on so I would highly recommend packing ear plugs if staying in a cool season. I would stay here again!

We stayed here four nights in September and loved it. It is an old fashioned motel that is family owned and operated. It has been very well maintained. Beds are comfortable and rooms a very clean. Excellent place to stay. We've already made our reservation for next year.

I really enjoyed staying here. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and it's in a very easy location to explore the park. And very easy to get to without a car. Would definitely stay here again!

We participated in a photography workshop in East Glacier and found The Mountain Pine Motel a perfect lodging! Beds are comfortable; fridge/freezer is roomy (we prepared all our meals in our cabin). Ryan, owner, even loaned bear spray and printed maps! We will stay there the next time we visit East Glacier And we definitely are recommending it to friends!

This was the best hotel we stayed in on our trip to Glacier! The setting was great with pine trees all around and the rooms were even better! The beds were super cozy and the rooms had a very unique cabin/woodsy feel to them. Although there was no included breakfast, there was a store across the street that sold $5 breakfast sandwiches. I highly recommend this hotel!
