Our stay at Bitterroot Ranch was amazing. After reading previous reviews, I decided to book two nights at their B n B and was happy I did. We really enjoyed relaxing on the patio and walking around taking in the majestic views of the mountains all around them. Breakfast was incredible, Dorothy inquired about what we liked to eat and made sure the time fit our schedule. They gave us great recommendations on a local hike - Baker Lake which was incredible. We only felt like strangers for the first couple minutes, by the end of our stay, we felt like we made new friends. Thank you so much for opening up your home, we enjoyed getting to know you very much!

From the moment I booked our stay at Lynn and Dorothy’s home I knew it was going to be a special experience and couldn’t wait to get to the property to live this in real time. When we turned off of the road and made our way up the windy driveway I knew what we were about to see at the top would be beautiful, except when we turned the corner and saw the view and the home setting it wasn’t just beautiful, it was actually breathe taking. Almost didn’t even seem real. A true Montana movie. Dorothy greeted us upon arrival with home made cinnamon buns and made us to feel right at home. Lynn was soon right behind her once done with his ranch work. Such a pleasure to spend time with both of them. The home is so charming and the property is just beyond. The wrap around porch with the rocking chairs are the perfect accent to take in the silence and view on the ranch. Our room was great and the bed was very comfortable. My favorite was breakfast!! The spread that Dorothy and her two grand daughters, who were in town helping, put out was unreal. Home made everything and it was delicious! We sat around the table talking and laughing before we set out on our day. Even when we departed very early in the morning Dorothy had to go bags with fresh made muffins and fruit cups with a goodbye note. It is the only place I would stay in Darby, Montana and if you are looking for a unique touch that will leave you with a very full heart then this is the place for you!

An Amazing trip for 2 best friends for 30 years and a 70th Birthday celebration. Dorothy and Lynn were the best hosts, we felt like we had time to ourselves, but still able to get first-hand experience from them of the places to go which saved us a lot of time and effort. The scenery is indescribable except to say it is a 360 experience and hard to capture all in one picture. For 2 ladies we felt very safe, great place for partners, and even if you just want to fish and eat good. Thanks for making our memories the best for Montana.

From the moment of arrival I knew I’d found the right place. My first visit to the Bitterroot and to Lynn + Dorothy’s home but certainly not my last.Their BnB was planned for convenience and comfort down to the final detail. I stayed in the safari room which overlooked the horses and the barn. Loved this space and the incredible private bathroom amenities they included.Make sure you get up for breakfast. The friendly discussions, daily recommendations and FOOD are not to be missed.

We enjoyed our host’s hospitality as well as the captivating scenery surrounding the beautiful log home. Dorothy prepares scrumptious breakfasts with fresh ingredients and husband Lynn works the land if hay is in season. Definitely the BEST B&B we have ever visited!
