We had several months into feeding two of our beef when the processor we had lined up backed out on us last minute. We found Montana City Meats online and Gary was able to fit us into his schedule quickly. He is charismatic and proud of his business and it shows in his work. We got our beef back within a few weeks all vacuum packed and neatly labeled. I see some reviews where people are disappointed in his pricing, but as the age old saying goes “you get what you pay for.” When you spend months feeding an animal and paying for feed, I don’t mind paying a little extra to have it processed in a clean facility I can trust. Definitely will be back. Thanks to Gary for a job well done.

Worth the 1.5 hour drive from Bozeman and the price is very fair. We got so much meat back from our elk in less than 2 weeks. These guys have it down. I really like the packaging and labeling of the different cuts. Great customer service. Keep up the good work!For comparison purposes:We took another elk to a different processor in Bozeman, (Happle's) they took over a month to even start cutting it, then called me to say that it was a loss. The bloodshot had spoiled the meat and it smelled really bad. No kidding. And their price was 300 dollars more than Montana city meats charged us for a way bigger elk. That's a story for another review, but night and day difference to say to least.

Do with this what you will; I brought a quartered, skinned, and "game bagged" ELK to Montana City Meats. For the grand total of $478.95 for basic cuts, burgers and steaks. I was charged a re-skinning fee and no weight was taken.

Montana City Meats is the only place I will be sending my beef for butcher anymore. After getting left high and dry by Tizer Meats, and standing in their empty lot with 7 beef scheduled and not a sole to be found. I was able to get ahold of Garry. He dropped everything and helped us out. He called in his butchers at 6:00pm that night to start working on our beef. They had already stopped taking domestics and were switching over to get ready for wild game, but understanding the horrible situation we had been left in by Tizer, he came to our rescue! This man is an absolute god send! If it wasn't for him and his amazing crew we would be out thousands of dollars!

$195 for 40lbs of antelope burger...absolutely mind blowing. .prices are insane. Less than half the cost at other processors . $5/lb for antelope burger...no thanks

Great job Garry and Montana City Meats! We found ourselves scrambling to find a butcher for our family-raised two steers and two heifers and came across Montana City Meats. Our prior processor was shut down and we were in a panic. Not only did Garry get us in, but scheduling through his website was a breeze. All steps of the process were professional, and the final product was excellent: professionally shrink-wrapped and clearly labeled, all cuts specifically identified and dated, and a great overall return on our investment. I grilled T-bones for my wife’s birthday several days ago and she said she has never had better. We highly recommend Montana City Meats!

Gary was amazing I got 2 lbs of bison ,a tour of the facility ,as well as some history about what brought him here. Dinner was fabulous. I look forward to picking up more bison next time I come through Montana City!

Purchased a half hog and couldn't be happier. Had pork chops last week, best I've had for a long time. Fixed a pot of collards with the bacon and they were out of this world. I'm going to have a lot of cooking fun working through all the cuts that I got. Bravo Garry!Also purchased some ribeye steaks that were just delicious. My late dad was a NY butcher and he would have applauded the quality and flavor of beef and pork I received.
