I took my wife's car in to have it worked on at Toyota of Bozeman on Huffine. In addition to the reason we brought the vehicle in, they "identified" several "critical" deficiencies. Included among them were torn rubber boots on the sway bar links. These did not wear out. They were less than two years old. I know because I replaced them myself. They were deliberately torn by one of the mechanics. I brought it to the attention of the dealer, who has chosen not to follow up with me, which steers me to the conclusion that the dealer is aware of the dishonest practice of vandalizing a vehicle so they can charge you to fix it, and is perfectly ok with it.

I have a one year old vehicle I got from Toyota of bozeman. Salesman was great. service department is a joke however. 27k miles on my tires and the front inside of my tires are so bald the metal is showing. Toyota care should have been rotating them. The shop I was dropping another vehicle at said I shouldn't drive on those tires anymore. I went back to the dealership after texting their customer support to talk to Myra (that's who the text says to talk to). The young girl in the service area wouldn't let me talk to her and just keep saying I need an alignment and tires. So I left and got tires and an alignment at the tire shop down the road. They did it within 12 hours and a better tire deal then Ressler. they couldn't get the car aligned so I should go back to the dealership to see what was going on. Went back to Toyota where I set up an appointment and they claimed they could align the car. I gave them my sheet from the tire shop. They said my car is fine and nothing is wrong. I asked why one area was still not within spec on their sheet if they indeed fixed it. They said there is nothing they can do and I'm fine. So I paid and left. i asked a friend who is a mechanic if it's really fine and he said no and to go back. He came in with me and was told there is nothing they can do. Eventually they said they would refund me since they couldn't get it aligned. No refund after 10 days of being there so I went back in. They claim it's coming. I also said I really just don't understand why I have a new car. 2022. And they can't align it or fix it. They sent a guy in nice slacks and button up to talk to me. He claims I just need regular rotations and I'll be fine. I said its A brand new car. I want it good not fine. He explained they can replace part by part and try to align it after each one but each alignment will be $170. And the parts aren't really cheap. I asked why it wouldn't be under warranty. He said for them to warranty parts they would have to measure everything and that takes a lot of time. He told me to make an appointment and he will make sure to be part of investigating it. I already took it in once and they claimed nothing could be done. And it doesn't sound like they will even try to find out about warranty cause it takes to much time. I left and called the Toyota 1800#. The girl wouldn't stop repeating tires aren't under warranty. She then said it's my choice to go elsewhere to have work done so Toyota can't help me now that I went to get tires elsewhere. She was also no help. Really can't suggest anyone go to Ressler Toyota of Bozeman for anything service related. And I sure won't buy another vehicle from Ressler.

Use to be good, but then they started over charging for oil changes.Said my lights were out and they needed to be changed, but I popped the hood at my house and they just unplugged them. They said I had multiple issues with the 4Runner (worn brake linings, couldn’t give me specifics, and steering fluid leak), but I went to another shop just to be safe and they said brakes were barely worn and no leaks found. If you need oil changes/tire changes, best to support a local shop. Plenty of them in the bozeman/Livingston areas

The nearest Lexus dealer was WAY far away. Toyota of Bozeman did my 55k mile service, the price was reasonable and pretty quick.

I've been using Ressler maintenance since I got my Highlander in 2015. They were solid until recently. The last 3 visits the service has really deteriorated. Really long waits and poor communication seems to be the norm. Wes in particular has really been off his game. I won't be going back.

Overall good experience. While scheduling the appointment, I did mention that I had the oil and oil filter in the back of my car. However, after getting some work done as well as the oil filter and oil change, I found out that they didn't use my oil or oil filter, and that I wad was charged for it. It was not entirely their fault. I don't know how much was written down over the phone. I probably should have mentioned the supplies in the back of my car when I dropped it off. Other than that, it was clear communication and a smooth process. Reasonable prices, especially for a dealership.
