Absolutely the worst provider. I would recommend going back to using smoke signals rather than to use this company for phone or internet. ZERO Customer Service. You can never get anyone to answer the phone. They keep their door locked and it is impossible to get anything taken care of. You would think that a company with the name Montana Opticom, would be one to take care of the people of Montana. Sadly, this is not the case. I am currently stuck paying them money for services that i am not getting. STAY AWAY!

I have been a customer of Mt. Opticom since its inception some 20 odd years ago. My experience with them has always been more than positive. In the early years when I needed tech support they were there. I don't understand the negative ratings as they have always been an over the top ISP. I particularly like the fact that they are a local company and I believe in supporting local businesses.I recently closed my old account because of the sale of my restaurant and the process was seamless and simple. They were more than helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mt. Opticom to anyone. Good people, good business.

Fantastic service. I've used them for four years. Only one issue and they fixed it within two hours. And the cost is sure reasonable.

Their website and customer service are not ADA compliant. I have moved and I have tried to cancel service multiple times and they continue to charge while asking for arcane information on forms I can’t fill out on line or over the phone. I thought centurylink was terrible, Mt opticom is the worst! Do not do business with them!

I've had Opticom for three years and while the internet service wasn't that great to begin with, it's become progressively worse lately. I've had 3 different outages in the last year, one lasting 2 weeks where I had to purchase additional phone data to hotspot my laptop. I requested a credit multiple times since it was an outage specific to my rental due to their equipment failure. This was in March and I haven't received anything other than "we're still waiting on approval for it." I want to support a local company over a big corporation, but their technical services and customer service are slow and difficult.

Would give zero stars if it was an option. We had MT Opticom in our house before moving in September of 2021. We moved and we couldn't get an answer on when we would be getting instilation on the new house. OK fair we went over to Spectrum due to the only estimation from MT Opticom was 6 months before we could get instilation in the new house. About a year goes by and a box shows up on the side of my house. Tried to call and ask many times when and why a box was installed on my house. No answers.Now we are in this house for 2 years with no contact with Opticom and I start getting billed for the last few months of internet I still don't have. Still no answers. No calls back Nothing from Opticom. Instilation still was never finished as the box I didn't ask for on the side of my house still has never had wireing ran into the house. Yet I am being charged for internet. This company is a scam and taking money out of hard working people's pockets with no services delivered.

I have really appreciated Opticom service. I work remotely and our service is fast and reliable. I've called eith issues and if it was an Opticom issue they were at my house in a snow storm on the same day, if it was my issue because of a router they were patient in helping me troubleshoot the issue.

When it works it's great but the customer service is trouble. I've told the issue is only on my end that I don't know to use a router. When I was gone on vacation numberous times the service didn't work when I came home. Save your yourself the trouble and just go with spectrum or wait for Yellowstone fiber. Not sure how this company remains in business...

I going to change my review. I got contracted by a service rep that fixed the issue. She was very professional , understanding and patient. Just leave a NICE message and I got a call back.Terrible customer service. Phone service is nonexistent. Got an answer machine. Never got returned call. Pathetic is what this service is. Kinda forced into using them. Nothing else available unless go to wireless

Please stay clear of this company. They continue to bill me when I canceled on April 20th for June 1st cancelation. Now they are getting double money from my son and us. They will not cancel our service even though it has been transferred and are arguing we didn't cancel in time. This company has gave us the run around the last few years when it comes to billing and canceling service. Please just go somewhere else. They are over priced and their customer service is terrible. I would give no stars but it is requiring at least one.

When we were trying to get our service set up it took them over 2 weeks to return my calls and get someone out to our house. It took me calling them every single day until someone would finally call me back.They force you to sign for 1 year and give no options for getting out or transferring to your landlord.The company only cares about money and not the customer. I will never ever recommend them to anyone

Spotty service. It will be great for awhile and then terrible. I understand this happens with internet service and there will be times the speed is slow and it will be spotty; however, my issue is they NEVER EVER answer their phone to ask questions or ask if you can upgrade to a better speed. You always have to leave a message and their return call back is not going to happen! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
