Ordered my new Suunto Ambit2 Sapphire watch from the Heart Rate Watch Company. The order process went smoothly and I was kept updated with order status and shipping all along the way. Love the new Suunto and will certainly be a long-time customer of this company and already thinking about my next order. Customer Service is top notch too.

If you're serious about buying the best instrument you can find then there's honestly no better place to turn to than the Heart Rate Watch Company. Rusty is a warehouse of knowledge and unlike commercial establishments (are you listening REI, Best Buy and Sports Authority) he knows his products inside and out. Like many consumers, I immediately ventured off to REI when I decided to purchase a high end sports watch. I figured that they could help me choose the best possible device for my needs (skiing, MTB, hiking, trekking, etc.) but was horrified to discover that I actually knew more about these devices than the clerk who is supposed to be an expert. The results were even worse when I ventured into other retail establishments so I decided that there surely had to be a better option and turned to the web. Thankfully, I discovered the HRWC site and found all the praise that Rusty's clients had rightfully heaped upon him. Between his domain expertise, the great pricing and all the support he offers --- there honestly isn't a better option out there. I spent 45 minutes getting every question I could possibly think or answered and even learned some things I hadn't thought to ask. And even better, Rusty was kind enough to expedite delivery of my Suunto Ampit2 so that I can use it this coming weekend. As the prior customer correctly said ... "WOOHOO AS GOOD AS IT GETS" is right on the money!

These guys (Rusty) are great. Took the time to walk me through choices, had great unbiased advice and sent the product efficiently. When it arrived, although it was completely as described, I had a small issue and they fixed it fast and for free with an upgrade

I called the site to inquire about buying a brand new heart rate monitor. Once I explained my problems with my current monitor, the individual suggested I just try a new strap first. He was very, very helpful. He provided tons of good information and was as eager as I was about tracking my fitness goals. I HIGHLY recommend using this company for all of your tracking fitness needs.

I am not a lifetime athlete, more like the fat old retiree working on becoming a less fat, older retiree. The people at the Heart Rate Watch Company have been great at advising me over the last couple of years. I bought my first heart rate monitor fr the Heart Rate Watch Company when my first entry level Timex heart rate monitor died. I wanted one that would upload my training to a computer so I could go back and see improvements (if any) and in general have a record of my progress. They suggested a Polar FT 80 and it's reliably done what I wanted. A year and a half later, I wanted something better, something that I could slice and dice my heart rate data to my heart's content. My FT 80 still worked well but I wanted something with dedicated software I could manipulate and review the data with. I talked to Russ several times and decided to go with the Polar RS 800 CX. I got the one with the GPS sensor. I wish I could say I was a virtuoso at massaging the data the it can the data the monitor puts out but I am learning. I find it able to do what I originally wanted it to do plus much more that I haven't completely explored yet. The people at the Heart Rate Watch Company have been helpful in guiding me into the products that do what I wanted. I'm very satisfied with their advice and the products they've sold me. In another couple of years when I want something that will do more than what I have now, I'll be talking to them trying to find my next heart rate monitor, or not, I'm still very pleased with my Polar RS 800 CX.

I'm not a triathlete or a marathoner...I'm just an average guy trying to stay fit as I get older. Rusty has always patiently counseled me through my various purchases, helping me make sure I secured the products that were best suited to my needs. Once when something went wrong with a Garmin product, he went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of. You guys are super helpful. Glad I found you!

Like a lot of people, I started out on the whole Running / Cycling / Swimming thing later than most and such undertook my first steps in this whole new world with caution. I therefore approached the subject of getting myself some monitoring equipment with a fair deal of trepidation in that I had a rough idea of what I wanted (I had undertaken a fair bit of research) but that I was “slightly short on confidence†but big on aspirations I guess. My dealings with everyone at this shop were terrific from the initial phone call to eventual purchase, everything went through really smoothly and I came away with some free ebooks that I know are going to help me in my training. Five stars all round here for me. The watch I got is superb (Suunto Ambit 2 Sapphire) but the whole experience leaves me recommending this store to more and more colleagues. Great advice and great service S W

Rusty and the Heart Rate Watch Company are, as the 5-star description says, very much "as good as it gets!" Woo hoo!!!! Anyone who has ever tried to enter the SF athletic scene can probably empathize with the incredible high school type jockeying there is in getting involved with fitness and tracking health metrics. (This is coming from a girl who bought an iPod nano solely for the pedometer...) I even have good friends who I've tried to get advice on fitness watches on and I generally still leave those conversations bewildered and confused. After reading about 40 amazon, magazine, and blog reviews, I finally called the number on the website since I found that the Heart Rate Watch Company really had the best information on the internetz. Rusty calmly walked me through all the watches which would be the best fit for me without overwhelming me or pushing me to buy anything too crazy. It seems like he pretty much tests all the watches himself in addition to getting feedback from sponsored athletes and colleagues. In a world of too much and yet not enough information, Heart Rate Watch Company was an oasis amongst the chaos of limited fitness watch information. On top of that, his prices were incredibly reasonable and he even threw in some additional literature for me on fitness and using heart rate monitors to read which was a great surprise (especially for a n00b like me...) I've only met one other business owner as awesome as this one, and that would be the bf. There's the saying that everyone knows but few people live by "Do what you love" based on the belief that loving a job will push you to learn as much as possible and push your knowledge to become a quick expert in your field, and Rusty truly epitomizes this sentiment. I will recommend this place again and again. Thank you!!!!

Fantastic customer service. I ordered a Garmin GPS watch, but didn't do full research before purchasing it. After I had already ordered it and it was shipped, I realized that it wasn't the one I needed. I contacted them and they said they were sorry that I ordered the wrong one and that I could ship it back and exchange for the correct one. I opted to just order the correct one that day and then send back the wrong one when it arrived. They shipped the new one the same day and even sent it second day Fed Ex. It arrived before the first one did . Return was painless. Had I called them before ordering the first one, they would have prevented the problem, but they did all they could to get me the right item as fast as possible. Good job guys! Great prices, great service, highly recommended!

I purchased my Timex Ironman Global Trainer Watch from a store in SF. I was uber excited! My box, peripherals, etc. went missing. Seeing that I was stuck with a watch that had no charge, I figured I would purchase new peripherals-- Unfortunately, the store had no perpherals/chargers available. What now? In comes HEART RATE WATCH COMPANY to save the day. Russ listened to my situation , contacted Timex, acquired replacement peripherals and only charged me $8 shipping. What a guy!! In a world where customer service is a chapter in history books, Russ went above and beyond the level of expectation.
