I went into get an international health certificate, which I requested on the phone to find out that they would not do one for Mexico, because Mexico didn't require an international one, but many of the airlines due....regardless of what the country requests. I told them I left my wallet at home and they said we won't do anything, you must pay at time of service....not let's finish and you can go home and get your wallet, I was turned away... It was insulting and rude. It was a simple error of my wallet being in my other purse. Plus the assistant didn't know how to read the forms. Whatever you do, do not go here I've never been treated so poorly! I see the response, so I guess you lied then when you said you couldn't do the international health certificate because your computer wouldn't allow you to! I only had two days to find another vet. No, hardly enough time, but luckily I found one and they were very professional. They knew what was needed and treated me professionally! And, they emailed me all the questions before hand and had it ready when I arrived. And, knew most airlines require an international health certificate even if the country does not. It wasn't a problem. Please train your staff to ask the right questions on the phone prior to making an appointment for someone traveling with their dog to another country. It wasn't fair to me only having two days left to find another vet. I was lucky, but had to call about 15 vets. You caused a lot of unnecessary stress for someone traveling home with their DOG!

This is the first time I've brought my cats here, we have tried a couple of other places in town. This is by far the best experience we have had, I don't even think my cats knew we were at the vet. Wonderful all of the way around & an amazing staff.

From under $100 to well over $200 for the same test in less than six months, taking 12 days to follow up on urgent test results, saying things like “ok whatever” when you say ‘have a good day’ politely to end the conversation because they offer no solution to your problem, treating you like your stupid for asking about allergies, and like you’re a bad dog owner because your dog needs teeth out). I’m SO disappointed in the service and care the new team displays I don’t even care that they lied to my face about tests and overcharged me by almost $200 because it was the push I needed to find a new vet.

I just want to give the biggest thank you to the staff here. Earlier this week, I called in totally distraught because my cat had gotten really sick. They were able to get her in quickly.
Dr. Robins was our first vet during this week. He was patient and kind with me while I tried processing all of the potential issues Maple had. He explained everything thoroughly and what the start of our journey with this whole thing would look like.
Dr. Lyon met with me yesterday with the same kindness and was able to continue explaining where we were going from that point.
And the girls on the support staff were so sweet!! They understood my financial situation and were able to help me get a credit set up. They weren’t pushy with it, either.
This has been a rough, emotionally taxing experience because my cat is my baby and I hated seeing her sick. I was comforted by all of the staff who I had interacted with and they explained the entire processes of what they needed to do for my cat.
But the biggest kudos I need to give is that the staff was so kind to not only me, but to Maple as well. I was told they gave her lots of loving while she was undergoing her exams. I was terrified of having to drop her off and leave her alone each day, but knowing that the people who were working on/with her cared for her and gave her love made me feel better.
We did end up needing to be transferred due to potential emergency surgery (which she actually ended up not needing!). However, everyone here was quick to move Maple’s files over to the next clinic and Dr. Lyon did her absolute best to console me while I tried not to break down.
Thank y’all so so much for taking care of my baby!! She is home resting now and I’m so happy I decided to take her to Black Dog.

Dr. Robins is already one of my favorite vets ever. I move a lot, and have had many vets.
He's a very gentle man and you can tell he's very humble and compassionate. I like him a lot.
The staff has been great too. Kind, and they don't use pushy sales tactics like a lot of other clinics Ive been to.
110% would recommend this clinic to anyone.

Dr Kari is a wonderful vet. She was great with Reba, our Golden Retriever. She discussed any concerns and recommendations with my husband and me. She made sure she had addressed all our concerns. Since Reba is a senior dog, we consented to labwork and were given the results of the labwork with two days.
I'd like to add that we have seen other vets on staff and love them all. The entire staff are very caring, open and professional. My husband and I encourage anyone to use Black Dog Veterinary.
